Me again.
Decided to push myself and am now doing nose in hover for breif periods. Reminds me of my hovers when I first picked up the Blade CP. I am getting better with it. Also, with the drop in price of FSOne, I picked up a copy of that last night along with a free copy of Hanger Pack 1. All for just $99.99! I now have the CP Pro & TREX 450 to play with in the sim. I played a bit with them last night and so far am happy with it. I still have to explore the sim a whole lot more. Will report bak soon.

BTW, Vic, Dave, Rick or Jay:

Could one of you drop me a PM with the lateest in upgrades you guys have done on your HBKII's? I have the brusheless/ESC upgrade but thought I rememberreading about different main gears you guys were using!

Thanks!
Jim

Here is the manual for the charger I got in this week. http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/store/uploads/ACCUCEL_manual.pdf It appears to blow my triton jr out of the water for less than half the price. Charger goes for less than $40.

Jim / Wnuk or Wnuk / Jim,

PM sent with websites and my findings of the CNC main gear.

Gotta love the sims, more toys for big boys.

Jay,

When you get to it, the CNC main gear is pretty awesome. Truely round, made of tuffer stuff, and no wobble. Makes it run quieter too, because of the CNC details.

Tip, the old, per say, way of adjusting gear mesh is to use one sheet of paper. Hmmm, I use two sheets and seems to work better, not to loose, not to tight. Try it out..

God Bless,

Dave / Choppersrule

Thanks for the PM's guys. I will start going through them tonite. Spent a whole pack doing nothing but nose in tonite, I finally got over the fear. Now only if I can catch up to all of you with the rest of my "flying"!

Thanks Again

Hi Fellas,

Here's another curious one I can't figure out; but I'll bet one of you knows it cold. Recently I've noticed my CP+ ballooning at the end of a straight section of fast forward flight. It's also climbing significantly in right turns and I don't remember that before either (right turns were mostly level but the left turns fall off if you don't correct). Anyway, I figured it was CG but when held by the flybars it has a nice nose down attitude. I've always been able to trim it for nice FFF without holding forward stick and it really stays at a fairly consistent altitude as long as I manage my turns properly. This is the first time it's started this climbing. The thing is, if I try even more down trim then it just dives.

What does the collective genius think?

Thanks!

Scott

p.s. great to see everyone at it and having fun. I'm still flying 2-3 packs per day in the mornings before work. Loving it!

Oracus, here's my power supply, http://www.millionbuy.com/pyrps9k.html . I have both the turnigy charger and my triton jr hooked up to it. I don't know if I can charge 2 bigger lipos at the same time but I charged both bug btteries at the same time yesterday.

No heli attempts for the last couple of days, too windy. It is a strong possibility tonight however. I bought one of those magnetic balancers and rebalanced the prop for the bug. Much smoother. It seems like I need to take the rotor head apart, remove the feathering shaft and the fly bar to slide the balancer shaft into place. True?

Tim

Scott,

Both effects are normal, balloning at the end of fff, not being technical, it's pushing air, and you go up. The right and left turns are quite normal too. Left turns will drop and right turns will be normal or lift alittle. It's because of the torque factor of the rotating blades. It's all in the learning thing. It's nothing to be concerned about with the heli, just your flying techniques. You'll get it.
