I sent a shorter vid...maybe you'll get it. I'm considering maybe a CP pro. It'll be set up the way I need it instead of modifying this one into a CPP.

No video bud, Not sure what my limit is on that account for attachments. I think its only like 20MB tho.
A cp pro?? I heard they are even harder to fly than the CP's are. but...you do have full battery hovers down. I am up to like half battery hovers in my living room and have to set it down if it gets too wild on me. getting better on my flight sim tho. Not sure how to change stuff yet. give me time.......I will have that one nailed down and will be practicing tail ins on it first.
Ok so gun oil is ok. I had read in a post somewhere it eats the o rings in the blade grips up. I also have some fishing reel oil......... That stuff is like indestructible........ I oil my reels up once a year, they still act new. I do alot of saltwater fishing so have to spray all my reels down with freshwater after every trip.

Oh gads crash......what happened???? I am sorry to hear about yer misfortune...... But..lemme say this, I have seen how much you been flying...and i bet you figure a way to get some stick time in! (At least I hope ya do)
I knew it......just when I get my first full battery hover in.......... You get taken out. Heh....the worm has turned my friend....and now i might just get a lil better and catch up to you. After tearing down and reassembling everything I am back to what i believe is a good setup. I am still trimming a lil on the stock TX to get a "almost hands free" hover. I am feeling good about where I am at with this now.
On a side note......... I talked to Paul from Venom Air Corps 2 days ago....... the new motors he gave me had got goofed up in the shipping but I finally got them. I have to say...... that company is right on with thier customer service and backup!! The motors were for my lil coaxial, Venom Ocean Rescue and have made such a sweet difference! Thanks Paul..and let me say....... YOU gained a loyal customer in me and if anyone ever asks me I will be happy to tell them of my positive experience in dealing with you guys!!
Crash........... My heart is bleeding for ya bud. Hopefully this is not a long lived injury and you will recup quickly! I have been dying to hear about your first FF and sure wish you and yours the best!

I really dont want to fly it until I can verify what is really wrong. I cant work on it till I can use my fingers. the 4-1 is not here yet. I go under the knife today at 4:00pm. It's just gonna be a few days I think. I fell on the ice going to the car and had something in my hand. My hand tightened up to a fist...gotta boxers fracture. When I can use my thumb and index...I can work on it but the cast prevents that. Talk to you after surgery. keep practicing and dont hit any thing.

Well, I didn't die...thats half the battle. Surgery went pretty good I guess. I'm sore...but thinking HELI! And I'm home (day surgery). I figure 4 days, Ill have some use of the middle/index/ and thumb, which is enough to work on it and make the repairs needed. Off for about 1 month from work. That's OK though, I need time away from that place. Really, I do need to just retire. Spent 20yrs Navy, Worked in this factory for nearly 12 years after the Navy. Just tired I guess. The cold front moved in here. Running single digit at night (burrrrrrr). It's even too cold to work in the basement, and I got heat down there (my heli is down there, and thats where I fly for the winter). Keep me posted on your progress, I'll be checking on you.

Glad to hear you got out of the hospital in one piece and are able to at least peek in on the threads every so often. How far backordered is that 4 in 1?? I know what a bummer it is to wait on something, and not have it come wheeling in when you expect it.

I am hovering full battery now and went outside yesterday for one battery and managed to not lose it too bad. I got chased off the sidewalk in front of my place and had to step in one of the neighbors dogs present, but other than that...nothig hurt. I had a small wind pushing the heli back into me and overcompensated and got the pendulum thing going. Finally got it close to the grass and managed to roughly park it. Moved it back into the center of the grass....and flew till battery started getting low, then brought it in and finished hovering in the house.

I think flying on the sim i will increase the wind speed and try to get used to holding it into the wind a little more. Will definatly keep you posted and try not to hit anything.......expensive!

Good going! Remember...wind=lift as well as drift. The faster the wind, the more it climbs and wants to move away. If there is a wind or light breeze face your heli into the wind then lift off, and control the ratet of acent, and stay on the drift thing. In an 11mph wind, I had to really nose it down to hold position and throttle to maintain altitude. I picked up the TX today...can't do it with this cast on. It's just too awkward. They got me on vicodine...that don't help matters a bit. I was on the Walkera Dragonfly thread last night...what a nightmare that little heli is. I had one for about a month till it lost TX/RX and plowed into the field. I never really did get a hover with it. The CP Blade is far superior all the way around. Hover it till the cow comes home!
