^^^ I agree I don't need a MP3 player and a touch screen. I don't want to listen to music while I fly I just want to hear the sweet sound of the blades!

Karlton,
I'm pretty much with van, kgfly and NdFrSpeed here. I currently fly a Hitec Eclipse 7 and it pretty much does everything I need with the exception of not having a dual elevator capability. Been shopping for a replacement and have been looking at the Futaba 9 Super and JR 9303, leaning towards the JR as it just feels better to me. I too have no need for an MP3 player and would like to see the screen at the top of the TX like my Eclipse. Much easier to glance at if you need to for some reason such as looking briefly at the timer. An available model with the features and pricing of the of the 9303 would surely blow my dress up .

I agree, make a 9CH version or hey your 16ch version but after something simple like the Futaba 9C Super and you will tag the entire market and have waves of riots in demand for this radio. Key is making as simple to navigate through as possible. No mp3 or that stuff needed I think a phone, a ipod and all that is enough allready. Keep the $ invested into quality feel and looks, quality gimbals, switches and simple but effective programming and you will be a huge hit "FAST"! BTW only rc forum I was not in and my name was taken, "OICU812" unbeleivable!!!! lol

Wait a minute I gave it some thought, color screen well ok, telemetry well ok if you must, but mainly give me a cool looking radio with a cool feel and I am half way there

Please ensure that when you get the system tested to meet FCC 15.247 you also get it tested at the European Standard EN 300-328

Screen at the top improves visibility at a glance but for a decent size screen is probably impractical IMO. Having the timer digits in a large font while running is a great suggestion made above.

More wish list items
* Count down timer gives distinct warning beeps at 1 minute, 30s, 10s and then the expired tone at 0s followed by a beep every 1min after as it counts up. This reduces the need to glance down at the Tx to see if you are about to run out of time. Ideally the extra warning beeps should be able to be disabled.

* User configurable stick modes (at least Mode1/Mode2, but ideally Mode1/2/3/4) on a per-model-memory basis

I know it would increase cost, but two screens. A small one at the top for BIG digits for timers and perhaps battery voltage. Big one at the bottom for programming.

Does *anyone* care about an MP3 player in their Tx ?

The player is VERY nice for practicing a sequence of maneuvers (as in IMAC). I don't have to ask someone to call the maneuvers for me because the next one is announced at the flip of a switch. I have become so accustomed to it that I now reach up and flip the switch even while flying the same maneuvers on a different radio...

It really shouldn't be that expensive to add this feature. I would pay a little extra to have it.

The touch screen is nice, but not necessary. I would not pay extra to get it. Color on the other hand is necessary because of the video down link feature.

Later;

D.W.

It will have more then one screen that is for sure already our first radio the Sensor has a large adjustable screen for telem data people love that. The aircraft radio will also have that and the ability to have "stat rotate" so it scrolls or not scrolls from one data screen to the next so you do not have to press a button

Head phone jack as well
Expo and D/R adjustable for each flight mode
Cascading mixing for you chopper pilots
Adjustable flight mode transition times aka soft transitions with override just in case
ABS on brake (yes I know it sounds out there but on larger planes I think it is needed and will be cool)
Timers we love all sorts of timers
Also our Sensor radio already allows the user to input their own Wav files for alerts if they so choose.
Telem will be extensive from vario to chopper telem we already do tach, speed, temp, RX voltage and drive battery voltage built in to our car systems plug and play on the "senders"

Mac Man NOT a problem on the certs we are already well aware of all the issues world wide having sold thousands of Nomadio radios already.

I'm a glider guy. Need mode 1. Would require glide path control on right stick (crow, flaps, elevator mixing). flight modes, elevons, flaperons, etc.
don't need music or telemetry. how many models in the memory? I started with 4 model memory, now up to eight and still not enough.

As a glider guider LSF IV you can be sure it will have all the goodies we need.
Our Car radios have 40 model memory on board I see no reason to have less do you?

It would be a great radio if you just keep to the simple and useable,,,lots of mixes and things like that,, yes for sure,,D/R,,or T/R,,but you keep on the MP3 and stuff like that,,dont expect it to go over all that hot,,i want a radio for fly ing,,not for listening to music,,and i really dont need brakes either,,not on 35% and up,,they slow down with no problems once so ever,,countdown timers are a must,,with a warning noise,,most of the radios have that now..actually something along the lines of a 12 ch,would be ideal,,pick yourself up a Mutiplex 12,,and see how easy it is to set up,,thats what you need to incorperate into the radio,,,you can assign anything to anything,,but the problem with Multiplex is FM,,cant wait to see what you come up with.
