I have recently aquired what I believe to be a Nosen Cessna 310. The plane has some damage to both the wings and the fuse, but looks like it is repairable. My problem is that I have parts missing and I do not have any plans. I would like some information on the following items, which would be greatly appreciated.

1. I have a nose gear but no main gear. I do not know what the main gear was like but it appears that it may have had some wire landing gear of some kind and size, similar to what is on the nose. A picture here or a sketch or even a good description would help tremendously on the reconstruction of the original mains.

2. I am also missing the cowls. I am planning to install OS 1.20 engines and I need to know if I need to order the original cowls or the 7.5 inch extended cowl. It appears to be a bit tail heavy and maybe moving the engines forward a bit would help. Any input here would help a lot.

3. I read somewhere that the CG is 5.5 inches. A confirmation on this would help.

4. The wings appear to be a bit floppy in the wing tubes. Is this normal and does it affect the way the plane flies?

Thanks for the help

Zim

There is a set of plans on ebay and Fiberglass Specialties sells the cowls.

Zim, I have two 1.20's on mine, they work fine. I also built a special compartment just forward of the nose gear that I can add and remove balancing weights if needed. My battery compartment that holds the primary and back-up SR battery packs is also ahead of the c.g. The supplied wire gear was one of the first items I knew I wasn't going to use.
I wouldn't overlook the sloppiness in the wing tubes, now would be the time to correct that problem.
