Ive been flying my ST 50 for a few weeks and love it !! I have an OS61FX for power and an using an APC 12 x 6 vertical is endless. Any suggestions on a prop ??

12x6 for a .61 is kinda small, isn't it? I'm using an O.S .55AX turning an APC 13x4W on my Showtime.

I would like to get this plane if I could also afford to buy something more powerful than my OS 46 FX. I gather from most posts that a 46 is a bit underpowered for this very nice bird, unless someone thinks otherwise? Is there a lighter plane that would be nearly as good?

engine mount. Just push out the blind nuts on the right side mount, expoxy some wooden dowels flush with the back, and let cure.

Saw em off flush in the front. Move the mount 1/8 inch over and redrill. CA the blind nuts backin and pull em tight with a bolt on the mount.

I just did this on another plane. worked like a champ.

props are like belly buttons and are a matter of opinion and experience....

try a APC 14.4w. It will get it on. just remember to throttle up before leaving a spin or stall because it can block alot of wind on the tail. Will also require just a touch of throttle on landing for same reason. It a big barn door out front if prop speed isn't equal to airspeed.

But it will pull like a rocket from hover or slow speed. A good alternative is 13x6. or maybe 13x8 depending on how you fly. 12x6 is a little light for a .60. dont be afraid to experiment. props are cheap. I think the best all around sport prop for most .60 2 stroke or .72-.91 motors is the 13x6 or 14x6. the best stump puller are the apc W series. one inch larger for 2 pitches down. Mike designed this one with taller gear for the 4 strokes bigger props.

I have also had good success with the Master 13x6 K series. just make sure you balance it before ever putting it on. it pulled my .46 size extra with a OS 70 II with authority. about a 10 foot take off roll.

Am using an older model OS91 FS and the APC 15x4W ON ST50 and is a perfect match for this aerie! The prop has unbelievable braking in the downlines. does not fly the plane fast in straight and level, almost seems as if the motor/prop combo is not enough! Pop it into a hover and it holds around half throttle....not a rocket at full tilt but enough to pull out safely! Have only had six flights on the bird so far and still learning it's tendances....I feel very comfortable with it though
