Let me just start by saying that this is all very new to me. I received this 22e for christmas and think that I have spent more money on parts than this dam thing cost..anywho I am in the process of replacing the tail motor but the problem is that the pinion gear wont come through the hole in the holder. Does the gear just press on the motor or ???. Also does anyone know if another mfgs tail motor will work, the local hobby shops don't stock Walkera parts and I already ordered extra spare parts from rcandme and I really hate to spend another $5 in shipping on a $10 motor.

You can use eflite blade tail motors to replace your 22e's tail motor plus the eflite tail motor already has the pinion pressed onto the motor shaft

You need a pinion puller if you want to get the gear off, but it's not necessary to take the gear off to get the motor out. Use a sharp hobby knife to scrape away a little of the plastic in the tail holder until you can get the gear to go through.
