I have the cellpro 4s charger for about 8 months maybe, and when I charge my lipo for my helicopter or plane it charges more than 1c. I have checked the setting and it is set to charge at 1c, I even went through the amp settings again to make sure it was on the right one. When I charge my plane batterys (7.4v 2000mah) it will charge it at 2.25 amps which isnt to far of what it is set to do, but when I charge my helicopter batterys a 11v 1000mah and 1200mah it charges the 1ah at 1.5 amps and charges the 1.2ah at 1.65 amp was the highest I saw it get. It will only hits its highest charge rate at 50 to 60 percent chaged and then the amps will slowly start dropping down as the battery becomes more and more charged. When I first got the charger I only charged my plane batterys and im pretty sure it was charging my plane batterys at 1c but slowly creaped up more and more amps as time went on, but in the last month I got my heli and it doesnt charge them even close. Should I manually set the charge rate for my batterys, which would be a pain between my plane and heli batterys, or is it okay. Also the batterys dont get warm while charging, not sure if that means anything though. Last thing I want is my lipos to get ruind from charging to fast or catch fire or something.

Not to be alarmed the Cellpro uses basicaly a dynamic charge method, it constantly responds to the ability of the cells to accept the charge, that higher rate is only for part of the charge cycle, it usually drops down substantialy later in the charge cycle, it will work out to very close to 1C rate over the complete cycle, most of todays higher C rated packs can be charged at to up to 3C (I don't do it ) but 1C is not as critical with a balancing charger as it would with a series charger. I just let my Cellpro 4S "do it's thing" Charger knows best
