DYMOND MODELSPORTS HAS A NICE 40 SIZE DR1 ARF. I FLY MINE WITH AN OS 52. IT'S THE EXACT SAME ARF THAT RIPMAX IS OFFERING IN ENGLAND, JUST DIFFERENT COVERING. AND POLK HOBBY HAS A SMALL ELECTRIC ALL WOOD ARF. IT'S A GREAT FLIER ALSO, BUT DON'T TRY IT WITH THE SPEED 400 MOTOR THEY RECOMMEND. I'VE GOT AN E-FLITE 15 OUTRUNNER ON MINE AND IT JUMPS OFF THE GROUND.

thank you so much . i ordered the one from dymond . they clame it to be 53" wing span . polks is 37" or 40" depending on whitch add you read. i kinda like the idea of a bit biger plane , thats why i orded from dymond . its snowing up hear in ohio so i wont get to fly it for a wile. so i have plenty of time to diside on nitro motor or electric . what prop are you using on your dymond fokker? . i see in your polk hobby you have an e-flite 15 , what esc and batery or bateries , and prop are you using on that bird . the club i fly with (2 of my brothers and my dad are members ) rents out a small 1/2 cort gym twice a month for small electic fly in . i fly my t-rex 450 heli there . but am realy jonesing to get out my t-rex 600 and my hirobo evo 50 . and to get back on some of my planes , mainly my new fokker dr-1 . any way thanks so much for your help. karl

HELLO KARL,
THE PROP ON THE DYMOND FOKKER IS AN APC 12X6. THE POLK DR1 HAS A 3 CELL LI-PO 2100 MAH PACK. I DON'T REMEMBER THE ESC SIZE, BUT THE PROP IS AN ELECTRIC MASTER AIRSCREW 12X8. BY THE WAY, THE POLK DR-1 REQUIRED A LOT OF NOSE WEIGHT, BUT IT FLIES BEAUTIFUL AND REALLY SLOWS DOWN GOOD FOR LANDING. LET ME KNOW HOW IT GOES.......

Hey somewhere in this forum you mentioned that it would be nice to have multiple color schemes for the DR1. Fokker Dr I Aces of World War I (Osprey Aircraft of the Aces No 40) (Paperback) by Norman Franks has a good deal of color schemes and I am sure you can pick a number of them for production. It is so boreing to see reds all the time.

Have you also considered the DVII? Eflight has DVII & An SE5 for electric and i have both. They fly really well. It would be nice to have a 40 size version of these for airshows and such. By the way if you are still interested in club sponsorships, you should consider coming to our annual airshow. It averages 3000 people each day. Check out http://www.sccmas.org I have been members of various clubs in Europe, Australia and U.S. and this is the best club in my books.
