I was just wondering what kind of batteries everyone was using, stock or otherwise and what kind of run time you are getting. I have had my Axe for a week and havent had a chance to fly it yet but was curious what I can expect with the stock battery and what is usable as a substitute. Thanks for any and all input.

Hey two-handed - Fastie here from wattflyer. Thanks for the lead into this forum.

the batteries I use now are the stock batteries - I purchased three of them - two extra so I could use the Radd Method to learn to fly. He suggests several packs. I have a LI pack on order now and should get it this week. Once I fix the helicopter - waiting on main rotor grip part I broke; I'll let you know what battery I prefer -- but I'm sure someone may tell youu sooner.

I have an extra stock batt. but prolly will go li-po in the future. I just wanna know what fits and wont throw off the balance of the chopper. Good to see you here fastie, it seems like there are some others here to gain knowledge from.

I went ahead and used the recommended 910maH from Great Planes. So far it seems to be great - I haven't measured the flight time, but I am thinking upwards to about 15 minutes.

3 minutes on the stock battery. Not good at all!

I'm not expecting too much from stock but I was more wanting to see what aftermarket ones were being used. I would like to get the most time I can from a flight. Just wanted to see how big a battery we could stuff in there without causing problems.
