Chris, First off, how many turns can you get it on before it bottoms out? You could run a wood prop which has a much thinner hub. I am running True Turn spinner which has a thinner back plate, there is plenty of room. Although I am talking about a 2 stroke Magnum, the cranks are identical in length. I also allways pin my spinner backplate to the drive washer with a 3/32 needle bearing. I have never had an aluminum spinner loosen up. By doing this, you eliminate the possibility of the aluminum to aluminum from slipping, then the knurling on the spinner really does the work of keeping it tight. You could probaly eliminate the double nut setup and use a conventional spinner adapter which would fit fine.
