I plan on useing a Magnum .91RFS in mine when I get it. Awesome deal @ Tower Hobbies as we speak. $119.00 to my door for the engine with the 010dg discount code. I know I have bought four allready.

I just got a Harmon rocket for x-mas and took her up last weekend. It was great. If your not set with the RV-4 then you might want to look into the rocket. I only flew it twice last weekend. It is my 3rd plane also. I tried to do some aerobatic stuff but my knees were still knocken agianst each other so I didnt try to much but it will do them. This was my intro to 4 strokes aslo. I put a YS 63 on it.

Its just a suggestion

Gerry-

I believe that Mr. Pettit will be powering his RV-4 with an OS .91 four-stroke.

But you are correct....there are many power plant options for this airplane.

Enjoy!

I have an OS .91 Surpass II on the nose right now.

Here it is after only about 10 hours of work.

Still need to add receiver, battery, canopy and pilot.

That is the same engine used in the Video.
It will be a great match for the RV-4....and who doesn't love the sweet sound of a 4-stroke!
Have a great weekend guys.

Very nice pics pettit,

It actually looks nicer on your bench than it does on the GP site. I'm
really more impressed with the scheme now that I've seen it with a real
background as well as it being a good quality picture.

I ordered mine yesterday. I will either use a Magnum .91rfs or a Magnum .91 XLS. I have six NIB Magnums .90-.91's to choose from.

Not precisely, would be electric or gas for me. I hope GP will have one in exhibit at the Wram show. I wonder how easy it would be to fit a Brillelli 26 in that cowling... If not gas, the electric conversion is easy to do as there is a lot of room, and planning went into the design to make it an easy conversion:-)
I hope to see Great Plane's 80 amp or bigger brushless controllers arrive soon to the market:-)

What happened to the video on Towers site. It is gone. I have one on back order and am wondering if it just got delayed.

Both shipments to our West and Central warehouses are in route.
The Reno warehouse will receive the RV-4 kits first.

Is this plane a racer type aircraft, or is it more on the aerobatic side.

Neither. It's a scale model and it most likely flies like a full scale RV4. (Mildly fast and mildly aerobatic.)
