Hey guys, I plan to do some T-6 racing this year and am looking for inspiration on what scheme to cover my team in.
I will even consider really cool scale jobs.

Thanks for your help.

Vic

Put meatballs on it and call it a Zero.
The Zero is very well known number in pylon racing.

Easy to add.

I went with the Red Bull scheme for my first Texan and a generic Yellow and Red for my second. My buddy Chris modeled his after the Aeroshell team.

Airliners.net is a good resource for photo's of real planes.

Are you planning on racing at CCRC in April?

AT-6 racing is LOTS of fun!

Two words of advice. Glass the center section of the wing and run one servo per aileron! The Global kits have one servo in the middle of the wing connected to a cable that spans accross the wing & attaches to both ailerons. Make sure you remove this silly system and put dual servos in. One servo for each aileron, right in front of the aileron linked up with a short piece of threaded rod.

Otherwise when you're coming out of pylon one, and your servo strips, your plane will look like this!

Thanks for the pics guys. Nothing has jumped out and grabbed me as something I gotta copy yet. All great looking planes mind you. Especially your scale jobs AGNAT. And If you are talking about the race in GSO, yes. I will also be at the BARKS swap meet on the 27th.

Keep em coming.

Hey Vic,
Did you come up with a scheme for the T6 ?

This is a really good high Viz scheme, as there a few variants of this at my feild in 1/5 scale.

These are New Zealand Airforce Harvards.

Tony.

Nothing yet. I will be ready to cover next week, alas not participating in the first race of the year but I will be in attendance. I am thinking about keeping with my 1/2a Rivets scheme and mixing up a little.
