Ok I ended up Ordering the Canister Kit for the DA from Tom,,any tricks I should know on installing it or it's pretty easy to set it up??

ohh another question are you guys covering the TOP compartment when using canisters to where the Fuel Tank will sit?? Won't the Heat afect the fuel tank since th ecanister are located right below it???

Not necessary. In fact the whole tunnel cover is pretty much not needed, but it makes people feel more comfortable. If you feel the need lay down a piece of balsa.

Ok then..what about cutting the Cowling... does it really need it or the holes on the bottom of the fuse where the canister is will be enough for the air to exit and cool the Engine??
Or ould I still cut some small slots on the bottom of the Cowling,,I have open the hole where the Cylinder head stick out a bit.

The cylinder head should be exposed to clear air flow. The bottom exits in the fuse will allow plenty of air to exhaust, so no other cowl openings ae required. Basically air enters as it flows over the cylinder fins, flows down through the canister tunnel and then exits out the bottom vents.

ohh I just finished working on this plane,,I got the Engine mounted with 1/2'' spacers,,had painted the Firewall and canister compratment and guess what I messure the throws on the elevators....hehehehehhe and I get 68deg. up and 58 down ,,,I think that will do just fine!!!! heheheh

Dang Charrua,
Are you sure that's going to be enough? I remember you getting mighty close to sticking it in to the top of a tree with the first WH edge.LOL.........

....well I can always rehinge and leave a bigger gap and maybe get 70deg. ,,,that should help me get out of trouble faster!!!!

I know but it's not much,,,I used to use thined epoxy on my old edge,,paint it sure is lighter,,,
ohh talking about light I cant believe how light this Fuse is,,I weighted after mounting the DA 50 no muffler and it weight arround 9lb,,,Fuse stabs rudder and engine,,,my old fuse with stabs over 7lb!!!!

Plane is really looking great! Like you I know all of the colors but the red (checked back in my e-mails to Tom) so I can't help you there.

Cool I just went to a a friend house and he had some red,,,and it was the right one!!!!!
sweet!!!!im sealing the hinges on top with each color to make it look more bad a$$
