I had mine right at the recomended CG but it was pitch sensitive on the first flight which made it seem tail heavy. Once I sorted out the linkage it flew great without any adjustment to the CG. You're really going to love this plane!!!

Ok just figured it out,,i found some 3/4 tubing I had,,it's kind of big but it's the only thing I had arround and it works..

If I could ask a favor, what is the diameter and the length of your canister?

I thin kthe DIA is a bit less than 3'' and lengh 9'',,one thing it's a bit heavier than the Slimline Pitts muffler I heard a guy saying it was only 3oz,,but it's more like 6oz 1/8.

The TD75K is 2.75" OD (more or less, it's a metric size).

I replaced both spar tubes with CF and came in at 16 pounds 10 ounces dry weight. That was with the addition of the virtual cockpit and pilot figure but I'm running a TOC 3MM 53cc with stock muffler. You are REALLY going to love flying that plane!! Nice job!!

Check the scale you are using. I find a lot of peoplewhose scales are way off.

To be honest I hung the plane on a Berkley Digital Fish scale to weigh it. I'm sure it's not the most reliable but close enough for the way I fly! LOL BTW Did I say GREAT PLANE TOM!!!! I love this bird.

I had to scales togeather and they cant be wrong!!! one it's a anolog or whatever they are called,,you know with the needle kind of scale and then I have the Digital Fish scale and they both say the same weight!!!

17lb 11oz with the canister and empty fuel tank ready to fly. so I guess with the slimline pitts muffler would have been 17lb 6oz about the same as Redeneck Shawn.

always my planes come out heavier than advertised and everyone else,, but I probably added like 3oz of thin CA and 1 or 2 of paint.

It's still lighter than my old one but I really thoug it would have come out at less than 17 or at least 17 even.,,well not too bad.

Question I did start it today for the first time to test the canisters and I found I was running the engine too lean I guess,,casue I had to richen the high neddle like 1 or more turns to make it run good.

Is that normal when switching from a Pitts to a canisters????
