ORIGINAL: rctom Check the scale you are using. I find a lot of peoplewhose scales are way off. TF I had to scales togeather and they cant be wrong!!! one it's a anolog or whatever they are called,,you know with the needle kind of scale and then I have the Digital Fish scale and they both say the same weight!!! 17lb 11oz with the canister and empty fuel tank ready to fly. so I guess with the slimline pitts muffler would have been 17lb 6oz about the same as Redeneck Shawn. always my planes come out heavier than advertised and everyone else,, but I probably added like 3oz of thin CA and 1 or 2 of paint. It's still lighter than my old one but I really thoug it would have come out at less than 17 or at least 17 even.,,well not too bad. Question I did start it today for the first time to test the canisters and I found I was running the engine too lean I guess,,casue I had to richen the high neddle like 1 or more turns to make it run good. Is that normal when switching from a Pitts to a canisters????
