Status: offline 		hey, novenom, this is from my amainhobbies.com invoice: 1 x KYOIFW308 Kyosho Rear Center Universal Shafts (93mm) (MP777) $20.99
1 x KYOISW052 Kyosho Rear Center Universal Shaft (L138/STR) $22.99. they are both rear shafts for the kyosho str and the kyosho str extended chassis truggies, however, the 93 mm is for the front of the cen truggy and the 138 mm is for the rear of the cen truggy.

as you saw in my earlier pics, you have to tear the truck down completely for the center mod. so if you have some spare change and time, you might as well try the plastic diff cases while you're in there: 3 x CEGMX212 CEN Racing Diff Case (Cross Pin), $7.17. a small price to pay to try the cases. they will work with either cen's or gene's cross-pins. [ note: you will not need to use any washers on the ends of the gears or cross pins with these cases ]

almost forgot. you may want to try these gaskets if you decide to mod the stock diffs: Kyosho Diff Case Gasket (5) [KYOIF30-1]

i had reservations about using plastic instead of aluminum, but so far, no leaks or visible damage. i've only run the truck twice since though, so time will tell. it should be fine though, cos' all else remains aluminum or steel. the diffs are lighter with the plastic cases, so the performance is enhanced. this mod is dreamy. it seems as if the truck responds to throttle and break inputs smoother, stronger and faster. it's as if the center drive is an extension of my arm let me stop... " ciao "

ps: i should add that i run avid breaks and i only run one front and one rear. i ordered four to replace the stock set up, but discovered that four avid's will not stop the truck the fix is to only run one front and one rear. they run without pads, are ultra-light and last forever. see previous pics for reference if interested.

Status: offline 		wriff i already have the plastic diff cases i have been running them for 4 months now with no problems i need to replace all of my center driveline diff cups so it only made sense to switch to cvds once again thanks for the info nice pics by the way

Status: offline 		hello rebeldude. some people don't like them, but i use motorsaver airfilters, along with the motorsaver elbow neck kits and an outwears pre-filter. motorsavers are easier to work with than other designs in my experience, b/c they don't have any springs or screws to worry with. plus, they allow for high airflow.

all the elbow necks work in the motorsaver filter neck kit, however, i find that the longest neck in the kit works best. it's kind of an awkward fit because of the high cen chassis braces, so i position it up over the fuel tank, to the right of fuel tank lid.

i also have an integy brand air filter, but i don't like it. it's harder to work with b/c of the spring and the screw. i hardly ever use it, but have it for back up.

note: i always use zip ties on each end of the rubber filter necks. i also tie or work a rubber band securely around the base of the outwears pre-filter. the outwears prefilter comes with a string to cinch up the bottom, but i tossed it. i prefer to work a rubber band securely around the base of prefilter to cinch it up securely.

Status: offline 		Only problem I've had with motor savers is that the top will come off. A outerwears prefilter would solve that issue, and they don;t seal well at the base, some people grease around bottom of element to seal it up.

Status: offline 		Hey all, I am about an inch from buying the Spektrum DX2.0. I just purchased a fully hoipped up Arena Pro and I gotta get all the horsepower and electronics sorted. I am looking for any feedback on the DX2.0? Will the servos be strong enough for the Arena? I am barely getting into club racing so I really dont want $200 servos on top of a radio system purchase. I would love to buy a radio system that was "all I needed" So is the DX2.0 gonna do it? thnx

Status: offline 		yeah, i know pooldoc, and that's why some are not too keen on motorsaver. i mean, everywhere i go, people seem to warn against them. however, i have not had any issues. my experience is quite the contrary, as motorsavers are easier to work with and they allow my engines to breathe easier.

another way to keep your engine cool is to expose the engine head. i'm running a R1 body by RCBodyworks, and the body is designed so that the engine head is exposed. it's sorta' like a buggy body for a truggy, you know? here's a pic of the rear of a r1 body for the cen truggy from truggyracers.com. i would've used a pic of mine, but i left the rear insert of my truggy clear, so everything in that area is invisible in photos. i'm not trying to sell you on r1 body, but can tell you that my temps have dropped substantially since i've been running one. i have is a two inch hole in the front windshield and the engine hole in the rear, nothing else... didn't even bother with the side window this time around, and my engine is still cooling way within specification, you know?
