Derek, the second link didn't work, because you put a comma on the end of it. When you put a link, you must put a space directly after, before any punctuation. I fixed it for you.

Derek... DONT GET A NICADBATTERY PACK! Nicad equals memory and thats no good. In other words when you charge it you have to use it FULL FULL TO FULL empty or the life span of the battery gets shorter and shorter. Its called memory and it will driv eyou nuts. Get a Nimh 5 cell hump pack just like the one above. They are usually 20-30 bucks and will perform much better in your arena. GOOD LUCK!

Ok, I know this question has been addressed before, but I have no idea if it was in this forum or over at rctech. I have a Matrix TR with a LRP .28. Truggy runs well except for a few problems. The main one being driveshafts popping out. I put a piece of fuel line in each shock to limit the upward travel...its reduced the amount of time it pops out but it still occasionally does. Any recomendations outher than putting even a bigger piece of fuel line in each shock? Also I'm running the green springs all around and wanted just a little stiffer springs. Do any springs from other manufacturers work?

you must have one of the early arenas.... the problem was the lower arms were too long.... cen did fix the problem and made them about 3mm shorter.... any arms you order now will be from the new mould... hope that helps....

hello "lifeandhowtoliveit". one of the solutions for loose dogbones would be to convert from the stock 23MM wheel hexes to 17MM wheel hexes. you have to use shims to complete the conversion. nonetheless, the use of shims forces the dogbone ends further up inside the drive cups, so they can't pop out when the truck bottoms out on landings. here's the link for the mod: http://www.rcmodz.com/cgi-bin/ikonboard.cgi?act=ST;f=33;t=1555
as far as springs, in the past, most have used the stock mugen truggy springs. they are the red one's. they are stiffer than cen stock, and IMO, they work better. also, some have upgraded to the ofna super big bore shocks and springs for better handling.

what up "derek" ;o) failsafes? i imagine any external failsafe would work. when i first got my truggy, i opted for a radio with a built in failsafe. it's a spektrum dx2 with a sr3000 receiver. so, if you're in the market for a radio, maybe you can capture the failsafe in that purchase. the dx2 isn't as costly as others, but it's sorta' old school now. the latest from spektrum is the dx3r with sr3100 receiver. it's way more costly than the dx2, but it's not as costly as others in it's class. beyond that one, i've heard good things from others online regarding the Futaba 3PKS 2.4GHz FASST Radio System w/R603FS. if i had the loot i'd prolly' go with the futaba system next time around.
you asked about nimh batteries and chargers. maybe talk to someone locally or go to amainhobbies and logon to their chat line to speak with a representative. they can walk you through a system that will meet your needs and perhaps budget.
due to costs, i run team orion 1600 mah nimh offroad batteries, as pictured and i use a " pirahna " nimh peak charger [not pictured]. my dream system would be the " triton 2 " charger [2nd of the two chargers pictured], combined with 2700 mah ballistic batteries [ 2nd of the two batts pictured] ;o)
here's my picks for chargers and batteries. i've uploaded them from left to right, from better to best, in each category. they can all be found at amainhobbies and probably other hobby stores. from left to right, they are the MRC Super Brain 960 AC/DC Peak Charger, Great Planes Triton 2 DC Computer Charger, Team Orion Marathon 1600mAh 1/8 Off Road Hump Receiver Pack and Ballistic Batteries 5 Cell Sanyo 2700mah AA NiMH RX pack JR Connector.
