That's the JConcepts MBX5T body right Mystical? I know another CEN driver that used the MBX5T one.

Oh ya, awesome paint job by the way.

The body used was the JConcepts Illuzion Jammin X1-CRT HD Body.
It fits really well on the body so that's another body you guys can add to your list of body options.
IF any of you Cen drivers want this body more than I do, PM me it's up for grabs.

Ya know I'd be interested in that body if it just wasnt blue and orange. Boise State is blue and orange, U of Florida is blue and orange, Univ of Tennessee is all orange.... I'd get kicked out of every alumni group if anyone saw me sporting those colors. Hell... a bag o' cheetos sitting on the seat of my truck puts me in danger.

Now... do one up in Red, Silver and Black.... or Black and Gold... I'd be all over it.

Whoa... did you guys see this deal? http://www.truggyracers.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=11623

This is a smokin deal.... think about it.

The kit alone is gonna set you back $500.
Toss in a body (painted), wheels and tires (another $100)
and then all the option stuff this thing has on it (another $300)

I know because my truck is almost the same as this one. He's unloading it for $550 shipped? I'd buy that thing in a heartbeat if I already hadnt built almost the same truck.
And no... I'm not a shill for this guy. If anyone wanted to get into a pro level truck that is all tricked out on the cheap... this would be the way to go.

I have had my Arena for 2 months now and love it. I have read notes on here regarding CF towers instead of the CNC machined one's. I have used both, the CF broke, and the CNC (red one's) are working great. The CF did not last 1 weekend's worth of racing.

Also, Machine's RC in Sarasota has a differential conversion kit which I have installed on mine and it has made a noticable difference from the stock. It really hooks up now. It wasn't bad before. This is only available through Gene Hickerson's shop (Cen Driver) and you can link to it from the Cen website.

If you are considering purchasing this truggy, you will be pleased. ALso don't forget about Cen's trade in program, which is listed under the "special programs" banner on their website.

You will have to design your own spacer to put between the roto start backplate and the engine. The one for the axial engine should work. No one has really done the mod yet so you will have to experiment and make it work. It can be done, but a starter box is just an easier alternative.
I've been using the Gene's cross-pin conversion for a month now and it's been working great for me.

I figured the started box was the way to go. I have one fhat I use on my 2 RC10GTs but it is not strong enough. Just trying to keep the stuff I have to carry to a minimum. I will probably get the LHS to order me one. I have been reading this post. Other than clutch shoes are there any other spares I should order?

make sure you get the CNC servo saver arm and rear toe block as those break easily

Where is the best place to get CNC parts? Got one of the Kits today and started the break-in. This is a sweet rig. I am very happy so far. What about a good RX pack?

www.gohobbies.com is the cheapest... shipping is slow but definately can save you some $'s.

Also www.customrccars.com has everything and they ship fast.

Another question for you guys. Nice body by the way. What holes do you guys recommend putting in the body for cooling? I live in the south so it gets pretty hot here. I put one big hole in the windshield and cut a section out of the back. Does not seem like it will be enough but this is my first truggy. Any input would be great. Thanks

Thinking about geting one and putting my RB S7 in it. If I buy a rtr, is the stock motor mount low enouph for bump box or do I need a new mount?

morkendi,

the RB will fit the motor mounts are low enough cause you can use the stock motor as a bump start too, just make sure you use the CEN flywheel and everything will be fine

Generally the wheels marked MAXX are the ones I use. They are much smaller than the 40 series tires. I wheels generally use are Pro Line part number 2682-04. These wheels have about 1/2" offset. Makes the truck a little wider, this will give you more stability but you can also use the ones that don't have offset.

Oops, I saw that you mentioned tires not wheels, my mistake, tires I use the Crime fighter MT tires. The MTR series tires will also fit. The advantage to the MTR tires is that they a little narrower so you have less rotating mass. Also the MTR tires come with molded foam inserts instead of the white foams.
