Status: offline 		Hi guys well im totally new to this smart fly stuff though on my next build im going to use Smart.
now for my electronic im thinking of using smart fly Super switch, adjustable regulator and a power expander and an optical kill switch, now i have nver usd smart fly before I have always used the sc12 with duralites but i want to try something different,
but i got no idea how to wire it up could u guys please help me.???
would be very much appreciated

First I need to ask what size plane this is going into. If you are going to use a PowerExpander you should be looking at the SuperSwitchHD and the Adj RegHD. These are plug and play with the PowerExpander.
The Igntion Cutoff has full instructions that come with it. It is really simple to hook up. I really cannot give you a diagram until I know exactly how you want to set your plane up. It sounds like you want to go
single battery instead of redundant batteries. Is this right?

Status: offline 		its going into a 50cc plane, im not wanting to go 2 batteries as its extra weight i dont need on this 50cc model ( 29 % )
umm yuh i just want to power my servo at 5.9v constantly basically thats the only reason why im using smart fly so if u got any wiring diagrams of your products would be great, i cant seem to find them on your web site...
since i have never used smart fly tell me if u recommend a setup for the 50cc model>>?
Im going to be running 5 high power servo's and a da 50. with ignition cut off.

Status: offline 		I'm also builting a 84" 50cc size plane.
I was thinking of using 2 lipo bats for the reciever. (2x half the size of a single bat, for redundancy)
the super-reg into power expander looks like the setup i would use.

Only questions are....
- does the super reg. share/balance the bateries effectively, like the bat-share?
- where would the fail safe switch go (maybe one of the pin types)
- where should the charge jacks go

i would most likely use lipo for the ignition, with the smart-fly ignition kill switch

what setup would you recomend?

I would recommend the SuperReg into the PowerExpander Sport. The SuperReg has a BatShare built in so you get even battery draw. The failsafe switch plugs into the SuperReg. When you buy the failsafe switch package you also get charge leads and charge jack mounts that you can mount on the side of the plane to check batteries and charge. Be aware that you end up with a common ground system so you need to be sure your charger(s) can handle that if you plan to charge both batteries at the same time in the plane. You can ruin you packs at the very least if your charger cannot handle a common ground system, and get a fire at the worst.

is there anyway of charging the bateries seperately? to prevent this issue.

also i have seen mention of the power expander sport PLUS????
is this more likely to help?

i'd also be using a Equalizer of some sort for the elivator servos. one for each.
does one of these have servo reversing built in?

Only by disconnecting the batteries and charging them separately. The Sport+ will not be out unit late spring or early summer.

The Equalizers can reverse as well as adjust the throws.

Thanks for clearing things up.

I guess i could always fit a switch and charge jack between each bat and the reg.

This would also prevent bat drain when using the failsafe switch.

Only concern is the fact i'm adding one more failure point. But with two bat's i assume this would be acceptable?

Then all i will need is a ignition cutt-off, and reg, and i'm ready to go.

Any pics on installs like this would be appreciated.

I think the flight pack 2 would work well for you. You have to remember that the SuperReg will draw each battery down about 5mAH/DAY. Unless you packs are really discharged you can leave them connected for quite a while with no danger. (charged 2400mAH pack / 5mAH/DAY = 480 days until depleated).

Status: offline 		i just got a rc car in pieces and i need to know just the basic wiring. i think the car was built part by part not as a kit so i cant find any brand names exept the radio is a futabo. any reply will help.
