I was just wondering if it is possible to just use a 2 stroke oil that is used for snowmobiles or dirt bike engines? Is there any difference between the RC synthetic oil and the larger displacement 2 stroke snowmobile oils?

No it won't work, most 2-stroke oils for gas engines aren't soluble in methanol[;)]

I know guys that run the Klotz in snowmobile engines on gas, maybe the klotz will go both ways and the regular 2-stroke oil won't.

Yeah i just looked on the Klotz website and found all the snowmobile oils they offer are for gas only, where as the super techniplate will work on either gas or alcohol. I know all the 250-270 microsprints in the US run methanol and some sort of premix 2-stroke oil, i would doubt that they all use klotz, but it's possible.
