Hello All,

This is a reminder that the tab on the negative side of our A123 Lithium Ion cells should NOT be turned. They do not turn easily so it is difficult to do this by accident. If this is done you run the risk of shorting the battery internatly, possibly while in your hand. It is also possible that the battery could short internally later on.

If you have already turned the tab and have not expirienced a short then you should not turn it back. We strongly suggest that you replace any cells that have had the tab rotated. Even if it has not caused problems yet there is no guarantee that it will continue to perform properly in the future.

Brian
