I have both of the new engines and they run like a champ. The S21T is ridiculously smooth with tremendous power. The 28 5-port is a high reving beast. I feel the same about these new engine as Supertib feels about Picco engines. LOL.

dayglo,

It only comes in turbo. I run the JP-3 on both of my engines.

The STS pipe is a Great Match for the MKII(not just saying that because we sell them) it really is! I ran it with the JP1 and JP3 and the STS Pipe makes a noticeable difference. I think anyone here who has ran an STS engine with pipe would agree.

Good Luck......PJM

I tried the STS pipe on my STS D21T MKII and my D21B and prefer other pipes like the pipe that came with my Hyper 8 Pro kit and the Thunder Tiger. Pipes are like so many things a lot has to do with personal preference.

right! i have used the dynamite 007 HT pipes and liked them but the hobao .28 pipe makes the sts''s ad rb''s fly, what pipe is that? i may just buy another. i have my new cranks on order, still have awesome pinch on the motors so they should last another 5 gallons.

Not sure what you mean by the Hobao 28 pipe or do you mean the on that comes with the Hyper ST? The Hobao pipe I run is the one that came with my Hyper 8 pro buggy. Most people I know running truggy are running 21 for fuel economy.

yes, its the hyper st stock pipe. on the side it says "hobao for .28 engines". i stuck it on there for kicks and its better on the S5 than my dynamite 007. i''m gonna try it on the S3 next.

Just wondering if the engine (D28M) needs any shims out of the box? Running 25%, was going to start running it in tomorow morning. The manual is a bit vague on that.

All my STS big blocks came shimmed for 30% so no it doesn't need any and I would leave them all in till its broken in then I'd pull some out.
