You talking about the carb insert?

Projectzen has the STS carb's and the carb on the 21's are the same as the one on the 30 or try the place that BB linked to.

Status: offline 		hey guys can you help me out. can yu tell me what are the factory settings for the d21b engine.and what is a good glow plug to use wtih this engine. i will be using 20% nitro fuel. thanks

Status: offline 		its the piece that holds the carb the body of the motor. i have acouple of other motors and tried them. its 2mm and the other are to small. on the maual its number 210101.

I got this off of the STS website.

Q: What is the factory setting for STS engines?

A: The suggested setting to start with is around;
.12
High Speed needle 4 turns out from the end
Low Speed needle 4 turns out from the end
Mid Range needle Flush with the housing
Idle 0.5mm open
.21-.30
LSN 4.5 turns out from the end
HSN 3 turns out from the end
Idle 0.5mm open

My 21B is 2 1/8 turns on the HSN and 4 on the LSN

Status: offline 		jb comp thanks for the info. i got my engine running and broken in on 20% nitro fuel,and iam going to keep it on 20%.should i remove a shim, i notice it had 3. two copper and one silver.also when i bought a glow plug it came with a ring.do we suppose to put it on.or should i run it with out it. thanks

Break it in with all the shims then remove the Alum. one and you should good to go.

The copper ring that comes with the plug should be on the plug when you put it in, so it should be like this when you put the plug in





If it comes with two copper washers (rings) only use one, these help with making a seal where the plug meets the head.

Hope all goes well for you. Break-in is a PAIN.

I have been running the STS S21T for about three gallons. I initially had it in my buggy, but it was too much engine for me. I switched it over to my new Mugen MBX5T and it has been superior. At first I had the S21T matched with a dynamite 007ht pipe, because I thought I may not have enough bottom end. It ran great with that particular pipe. I starting to feel that the engine was not getting up to full rpms with that pipe, so I switched to the STS 0403 racing tuned pipe. This was a perfect match. I get excellent high rpms, better fuel mileage, and did not loose a ounce of bottom end. I can run a truggy 150cc tank of fuel and get almost 10 minutes with no carb inserts. This new S21T matched with the 0403 pipe is a lethal combination. Since I have been running the S21T in my MBX5T, I have place first in our summer series race and second in our regular club race. I may be able to post some video of last night races later. A guy was filming and he usually post the videos a couple of days later.

Status: offline 		jaywax, is the mugen temporary or are you going back to the hyper soon? love my hyper, i finally figured out the maintenance schedule for it and its been sweet.

D21B UPDATE:

got one of the old 21b's back on the track and after running rb's and nova rossi there is no comparisson. the sts is a great club motor but no match to the italian mills. maybe with a jp1 or 007 it may do better but it was really lacking bottom end. mid was ok and top end was great. i had an 053 pipe on it running 30% gen2, maxlife shoes and 1.1 springs. i'll post again once i try the 007 pipe which i had on it before, this time with maxy's 30%. still love the motor for $125, can't beat it.
