No we always ran .28's in the CRT......i have no videos of the motor when it was stock......... But for comparison we ran my stock P7R EVO2 in my MBX5T against my buddies LRP Spec 3 in a CRT and the EVO had a pretty easy time passing the LRP on the straights.... the top end advantage the P7R has over the LRP is pretty signifigant, and it doesn't take the EVO much room pull away either.... I am unsure how a .21 will do in a CRT, many world titles were won using a .21 in a CRT and the Picco .21's are pretty much the most potent of the .21's.. So i'd have to say it would do quite well....

if I got a picco I would probably get the 21 and not the 28, I think the 28 would be a little over kill I run on a small track, that the dirt is like pavement, so I think the 28 would shred the tires to bits after all I have the intention to mod all my engines I get.

Honestly after some of the crap I have seen STS send out I seriously hope they go out of business....... That company has no morals or ethics and will sell us North American's total junk to use up stockpiled faulty parts..... I have seen dozens upon dozens of STS engines sold with improperly machined parts, STS even knew of the problems, yet still released motors for months using the faulty parts........IMHO people should stop running STS mills permanently... As a company STS doesn't care and will sell you total junk without blinking an eye......... Honestly to even compare a STS 21 to a Picco 21 is heresy....

I agree, STS is getting worse and worse. after the two I have, I'll be moving to either picco or go tech

supertib, have you ever ran a thunder tiger 21 pro before? http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_info.php/cPath/1_23_31/products_id/6579

I would really strongly recoemnd you try the Picco....... I have a very strong feeling you will fall in love with the Picco..if I were you I would order a Jammin JPX .21 today ..... When I went from STS to Picco my only thoughts were " Why didn't I buy one of these a long time ago".. Both Integra and myself were pretty humbled to say the least......

If I could get a Picco at the price I can get STS for I will get one. Whole sells them at this price and who else besides Nitro House has them?

it would not be fair to expect to buy a Picco for the price of an STS, there is a pretty significant difference in build quality and materials quality... even at current market prices STS are definitely making more profit on their engines as compared to Picco.... The Jammin JPX .21 for $229.00 is the bargain engine of the century... if you buy STS due to value then you need to check these Picco's out, they seriously offer an even higher bang for your buck then STS, even though STS are much cheaper...... Unless your broke and cannot afford the hobby I can see no reason to run a STS for $150.00 when you can run a Picco $229.00 ..the value the Picco offers is heads and tails superior to STS.............. Also when you factor in break in time and fuel the STS ends up costing just as much as the Picco......

JB I never ran a Thunder Tiger but know those that have so I cannot give you a good comparison to a D21B. But they are a very good budget engine. supertib I do not pay anywhere near $150 for my STS engines. I am sure the Picco’s are a good engine and one day might try one. I have asked you before how the Picco’s compare to the OS V Spec, which I have one that I paid $150 for. How does the JP engine compare to the Evo 2?

JPX 21 is a EVO2.......... as compared to a V-Spec. I'd say similar depending on pipe and model of V-Spec....... The Picco will carry more trigger hit over the V-Spec ... My buddy had a 2007 V-Spec in a Hyper ST and I had my stock EVO 2 in my 5T....they were very comparable with the P7 taking advantage on the top end......

And honestly even paying $100.00 for a STS is a waste of money IMHO..I have 6 NIB STS 30's sitting here that are not worth the fuel needed to break them in....... The Picco is more then a fine engine compared to STS, its a bloody GOD......

If you can buy V-Specs for $150.00 then I am sure you will be able to find a Picco for similar pricing..........

Now considering you pay $150.00 for V-Specs why is it you still run STS ? I mean I have run both V-Specs and STS and unless your being given the STS for free I cannot understand why you'd run one.....

What is the difference between the Picco P7 Evo 2 and the Jammin Picco 21?

I don't know why, but you can find a $299 v-spec for $220 and less for a v-spec with under 1.5gallons but you can't find a picco which new are $230 or $200 for under $150 with a few gallons on them its crazy, I think you can find a NIB picco 28 on ebay for $190 but there almost no picco P7R evo 2's on ebay new or used, I find a few used evo1's but there up in the $180 range. I guess picco's just hold the value better

I am guessing a lot of it has to do with the fact there are a LOT more V Spec’s out there then Picco’s. I just got done looking on ebay myself.
