that stock timing, then wonder what it would be like with timing mods? then it would probably be in the 1.45+ HP range 60-65oz of torque range once I get the hang of timing mods I'll be modding my 21B and that thing really should fly

really the 21B is probably the best engine STS has made, I have not heard of any QC problems with the 21B and its power/price ratio is awesome.

In my opinion it would be a better comparison if both engines where tested with the same pipe. No I am not saying a $120 STS is as good as a $300 V Spec but for $300 the V Spec better be better!!!!!!!!!!!! Among my STS engines I have a V Spec and yes I think the V Spec is better then a STS but we are comparing oranges with apples. For the money I feel the STS is a very good engine. I think it is as good or better in performance then other engines in its price range.

I tried the STS pipe with my D21B and there are other pipes I prefer. I feel my stock Hyper 8 pipe works better then the STS pipe.

and I've seen that v-spec run, and it has the timing modded, but the STS dose not, from what supertib said, so where comparing a lightly modded engine to a highly modded engine with a great pipe, or better pipe on that engine.

Correct me if I am wrong but most of the STS engines I have heard having problems is the STS 30. I will shortly have an idea on how good the STS D21T MKII is when I get my Hyper 8.5 running.

Then we sure are comparing oranges with apples! Correct?

So far the V-Spec is the nastiest offroad .21 Adam has tested, The Picco is a very close second..... The STS is actually being tested on one of the best pipes possible believe it or not.. I will post some dynoes of other race .21's and you'll see the STS's output is right on par with engines costing twice as much......

dude...the STS 21B comes from STS with the timing already too high, well past the sweet spot of making power....... This is about as good as a STS .21B or .21T is going to get.
