I like to see a dyno run of the TTR 21.

I would to but my bet is on the STS! I sure would buy a TTR21 before the OS VG!!!!!!!!!

That might very well be true. I'm just curious what the power curve looks like. It's very smooth on the track.

I wish there where dyno results on all engines done on the same dyno by the same person. Do not get me wrong as even thaw I have not owned a TTR21 I have heard to much good about it not to think it is a good budget engine.

well, all the ones that say "www.abmods.com" on the dynos are done by adam on his dyno. and if I remember correctly Adam's dyno reads a little low not much but a little.

The problem with dynos for these little engines is there are not any set standards so one dyno to another may be off some and with these little engines a little is a lot. That is why when done on the same dyno even thaw may not be 100% correct it gives you a fair comparison between engines.

I am breaking in a new engine now a big Sirio .09! LOL

supertib what type of break in do you recommend? I am sold on the heat cycle as I have engines with 9 plus gallons still running.

supertib, does Adam have any dynos of a timing modded STS 21B?

does Adam give you these dynos or do you have to pay for them all?

I share the dyno's with him. If he lived closer Im sure he would be over here all the time dynoing engines with me lol. Hes as addicted to these things as I am I think!! But he lives in Canada and I live and operate my business here in Indiana... SO its kind of a far drive lol....

Compared to XRCs dyno it does seem to read a little lower for sure. As I have tested engines with the same pipe and header combo as they have stock to stock and there #s are ALWAYS higher then mine by a little bit about .05 to .1HP. it seems to be more of a difference the higher the HP output is. And we have the same dyno... There may be a few differences in the calibration and gearing used im not sure. I calibrated and run my dyno exactly as instructed by Brian which is the guy who designed and builds the X-Dyno. I have also been in contact with Brian from NitroDyne Systems about this issue and it is being looked into. Im not too worried to be honest.. as these engines are always goin to vary even stock to stock. No 2 engines will dyno EXACTLY the same. ESPECIALLY a lapped 2 stroke nitro engine. There's just too many variables. Whats important is the before and after. I use this as a R&D tool and to PROVE my engine modifications. And it does that VERY well and VERY consistantly!

Which is why I am trying to tell people to skip the STS and jump straight to a Picco 21

so is the picco p7r evo2 the same as the jammin 21 turbo? is there an un-turbo version of the jammin? i saw one on the track today and it ran pretty well, the rb s7 though was VERY good. a sportwerks 21 v2 was flying around pretty well also, thats a 7 port right? hmm.... $189, next budget engine?

for $10 more you can get a Go tech 5-port which I think is faster/better.

just a weird thought\fantasy. it would be nice if sts came out with a .32 8 port engine.

no, it would probably have the same problems the ST S30 rev 2 has.

with out the problems the STS 30 would be a sweet enigne. a 32 as long as they put a longer stroke on the 32 would be a good MT engine and a bad truggy engine.
and really I don't think a 8-port would be better, most 8-port engine like the axial 28 & 32, they count the by pass port as a intake port, which the 5-port STS 21B has 5 intake ports and 2 bypass, so it could be called a 7 port engine, or a 5+2 which it is, but its known as a 5port.
