prop wash.

There will be no camping facilities that I know of. There are motels close by. I'm not on the board that dictates this so you might try the contact below.

For more information contact Dave Titzer at 812-454-9516 or bajaboatsonly@yahoo.com

Warbirds Over Battle Creek (Michigan): Sat., July 28 2007. Rain date set for the following day: Sun., July 29

Battle Creek is located along I-94, between Detroit and Chicago. Use I-94, exit 100 to get to the flying site. Exit 100 is about 8 miles west of the I-94/ I-69 intersection (I-94 exit 108, I-69 exit 38)
OK: finally found a map engine (MSN Maps) that allows me to provide a link to a custom location, such as the Balsa Bees Flying site in this link. You should be able to get direction from your house to it.

Warbirds of ALL sizes welcome. HUGE east/ west grass runway (about 600' x 200' ?), pilots face north (so: no sun to contend with), runway is wide enough to allow a large degree of landing at an angle, should the need arrise from stiff crosswinds. This is one of THE BEST flying sites that I know of

Flying begins an 9 AM and is restricted to warbirds until 5 PM, at which time it becomes open to ALL RC aircraft.

A $10 'landing fee' enables pilots to a free lunch (cooked/ prepared on site) AND free raffle ticket, with prizes provided bt JT Hobbies.

No contest, just bring 'em and fly 'em. I hope bring and fly 2 Corsairs, my rebuilt Hangar 9 Hellcat, and my newly completed (by then) Jemco Dauntless.

No onsite camping, but there are good clean campgrounds nearby.

I will post more info as it becomes available.

I know this may be a little late, but is there anywhere I can get some fliers for the Warbirds Over Denver event this weekend. Guys I work with are just freaking over this stuff and most are from out of state. I would settle for a place to download one to print if possible.

Thanks Shane

Thanks Doug, found some online and got them to work today. Lots of miners away from home with nothing to do on their days off, they were gone in minutes. Should be a good turnout.I gotta work but will be off on Sunday, see you then.
