Hello. I guess you could call me a noob. I am having a problem with my Heli-max MX400 pro. I recently said hello to a side of a building practing circles. I upgraded the hub assembly to the 450 aluminum head, replaced the shaft that goes through the hub and blade grips, replaced the main shaft and bought two sets of blades. The first set I bought had a warped blade. My problem is when I get my helicopter in a hover everything is fine as long as i dont touch the fore and aft cylic. As soon as I touch the cylic, forward especially, the helicopter shakes forward and backwords and gets more and more violent. I took it to my hobby shop , who of course were slammed and they were at a jam. They did find the warped new blade however. I have taken aprt my head to make sure I put it together correctly (the 450 has two o-rings instead of one), I checked the balance of my blades (the center of gravity was dead on and blades were dynamically balanced) and as i said before i replaced the main shaft. The only thing I see might be bad is when I check for play on the swashplate their is none left and right but their is some forward and backward. Can anybody check there helicopter to see if that happens to them? When i hold my linkage the majority of it goes away. i had somebody else tell me it was my gyro but I did not think it would cause the helicopter to shake fore and aft like it does. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks,

Levi

Safe flying!!

Same thing happened to me when I had to replace my center hub. I went to the aluminum upgrade. I my case the problem turned out to be a lack of damping of the spindle shaft due to my putting the O-rings in the wrong place. You are right, there are two on each side for the aluminum head. I had put them together on each side and I wasn't getting any damping at all. I could tap the paddle and it would move freely up and down.

I switched to having an O-ring on each side of the black spacer. Now there is definite damping and when I push up and down on the paddles there is some resistance. Anyway, that fixed the problem for me (I am also a heli noob).
