Would anyone who installed retracts in a Nitro Plane P-38 please tell us which brand and type you used and how they have worked out? Thanks!

SkyFlyer,
VQ will sell you a set that wil work with this model quite well. They are made by Spring Air, and are used in VQ's P-38. There is a build thread on the model in the Twin section and one gentleman installed retracts. It will be a bit of work...but will go into the kit. There are other mods in the build thread you may want to consider, and there are a few issues with the kit.
Soft Landings always,
Bobby of Maui

Bob...Thanks for the lead! Awhile back, I was on VQ's site drooling over their Black Widow, but I didn't so much as look at their P-38. Jerry

Skyflyer,
Just send Tomas a note, he runs VQ now, and will set you up for the retracts. He is a good guy, straight up and will sell you the retracts at a very good price. He also has one of the best customer service orgonizations on the planet. Do look up the build for the Nitro Planes P-38...there is a long run on the ups and downs with this kit. But the bottom line is...it's a good flyer.
Soft langings,
Bobby of Maui
