Why not go with a TT Pro .40? It runs well, is favorably priced and you will be able to enter 424 rulebook events if you like.

What's wrong with the engine you had on the first one? I know in Texas they're using 428 motors on Vipers.

If your not gonna race it really dosen't matter. I would choose the one that will make it balance easier.

Lessons learned, what happened in maiden, what caused the crash?

Hi!
Webra .40 GT is the strongest running standard .40 engine available using a standard silencer and 80/20 fuel (which it trives on).
It turns a 10x6 Graupner cam prop (or old gray model ) or RAM at 14000 rpm or more , this can no other .40 engine do except Jett or Nelson.
Do not use a big heavy .50 or .55 engine.
Balance is no problem. Move servos and reciever /battery as far rearward as possible ...if requiered.
Balance should be where Great Planes suggest. Think it is 3" from leading edge.
Why not compete?? It's the most fun you can do in R/C...

That plane is not easy to tip stall unless you pull elevator too heavily when landing, but still its very gentle move it does. Were you sure about CG was right? I wouldnt fly with new one before knowing what went wrong with old one. It is waste of time to repeat the error.

Neither the 32 or 50sx will be faster than the OS .46 AX you had on there.
