Status: offline 		Hmmm. The thread title is one thing and the question is another. When I saw the title I was simply going to suggest a good soldering iron, brass connectors and electronic solder. Guess you are way past that stage if you are looking for a welding machine. Are you going into the battery business?

Status: offline 		I agree, for making the odd few - its not worth the trouble...

Have a good look at how some of the model car racing packs are made - the tags are split into a 'y' lead where they are welded to the cell. That way the welding current flows through the 'y' and not the cell.

HEAT KILLS the internal INSULATORS..
