I think the lines are very similar. Paint jobs are different.

Would a Twist be considered a sport plane?

I have had the Gp Super Sportster and also a Hanger 9 Pulse and would prefer the pulse over the super sportster because of the better materials design and two piece wing which makes transport easier.

The Twist is in a catagory by itself and I love it too.....

The cloud dancer looks great and may have to try one out this summer....

One can never have too many planes

Hey I take offense to that!!!! I can get a 55" wing in the Honda Civic 2dr - just makes it easier to fit more than one plane in........and the Jeep cherokee isn't much better. Haven't convinced my wife that I need a panel van to just carry my planes in. LOL

I love the ace kit, I love the GP Super Sporster, kinda think of it..... I'd have them all..... if I only had the money.....

I did buy the Calamato with a OS50FS ringed, the OS50 performs like a 61FX in the size, weight and shape of a 40. I olnly had it one weekend, but the thing takes off vertical right into the clouds like a rocket. I learned that overpowering (if you want to call it that) my planes makes them a lot more fun, my rule is to look for the more powerful powerplant I can get my hands on, on the top size/range recommended by the manufacturer of the model (well, the Calamato calls for a 40-45 but the OS50 has the dimensions of the 40, and actually the OS45AX which is all the rage this days is less powerful, bigger in size and weighs more than the 50).

I had people at the field tell me my new "pattern" (??) plane looks and flies great, this Calmato thing goes balistic with the OS50. I saw one poor guy at the field with the same plane and an older OS40FP, he asked me "how come I could do those things in the air and he couldn't" --- the two models looked the same but they were chalk and cheese ....his needed all the runway to take off, climbed very slowly and could barely do any stunts.

Bottom line my recommendation is don't skimp on the engine, do a bit of research and trust me when I say that the extra 50 bucks will take the plane to another level..... also because I did not add any weight this sports plane still lands like a trainer. I'm sure this applies to the other lovely kits mentioned in the thread.

Can't wait till next weekend!

I can't find the OS 50 FS...this must be an older engine. I can't find specs for comparing the two....
