Hideho, old friends...

OKOKOKOK, I've been hanging around for a wee couple of days and it's time to check in, officially that is.

I guess I'm needing a wee bit of motivation here. We just moved into our first home and I'm kind of overwhelmed, I have this beutifull hobby room that was an add on a few years back. All there is for power is a four gang box, located in the middle of the wall on the right, just as you enter, with a switch and two 60 watt bulbs in a exterior fixture mounted eye level. All of these are mounted on the exterior surface of the wall, thereby allowing the slugs to be knocked out and conduit run from them.

So my question of you shop Gurus is, how should I best lay out the plug/lighting combo? Flouresents?
The size of the room is 18X8 with cabinets built in on one end.

Your thoughts would be apreceated.

Thanks and best to you all,
Mike

Nice to see you here Mike!!
To answer your ??. I have 2 4' 2 tube lights over the bench and 6 100 watt lamps in pull chain fixtures scattered around.
A few months ago I added 3 double duplex recepts on the ceiling and one in the middle of the 10' bench. I was sure that would be more than enough with what I had.

Hi,
I'm just saying hello. I still visit RCOnline, but even I got discouraged...felt a little deserted by the management.

So, here I am, and so far I'm very pleased with what I see.

Good to see so many old (and new too) friends here!!!

Your friend,
Mark Novack

Thanks John, hows the Turbine? Too cool.

And thank to cubfan, I don't recognise your handle, what may your name be?

Thanks for the lighting tips, Mikey, little brother.

Hi Mike, in my shop I have 8' flourescents over the build table, with an overhead outlet for heat gun, covering iron, dremel plug in etc... Also have flourescents over the power tool benches(drill press, scroll saw, belt-disc sander, etc...), with outlets on the wall. Peg boards & hooks on wall over these benches hold small parts bags. Wire shelves overhead for storage of waiting build projects, etc... My build table was made by building a base on wheels from 2"X3"'s, old wall cabinets attached to this(two rows back to back) and a 36"X80" steel door for a top. I built a wing rack on the wall, and wire shelves that I hang the fuses under. I also have an outlet for charging under shelves. I moved into a house with a basement about a year ago. I have been building on the kitchen table for years, it's great to have a shop finally.
