Haaa ha Mr. Hangar 9 also know as USARMYMANGANA on YouTube has been razzed o'plenty about his Pile 'O Raptors! I think he just charged straight in - no experience, no sim, no training, no mentor - and bashed his way into F-22 glory leaving a trail of wreckage and wicked cool videos in his wake.

Rock on!

Hey Turboratt
Can't you just make some sevo flap covers from thin hobby plywood and either paint or cover them with Monocoat to match the wing?
That's what I would do if I had lost mine.

Jim

well the night flyer F22 may not be
long story short I had put lights on the pts mustang club members could not believe i did that to a mustang it flew perfect easy to see and had a blast flew about 8 flights every one loved it A friend 'club member said that ama states that you cannot have a low wing night flyer ,Well i was able to keep the mustang a night flyer BUT Here is the problem

a night flyer is to be LOW performance, and not go over 100 mph some other things per ama

Im sure the club will say its ok to fly but i ,fly the f22 full speed around the 100mph mark

is the f22 low performance?

Guys, Just to let you know, the whole "secret" to getting this plane to fly right is not a bigger engine - it is simply taking out the down thrust. When I first got this plane and flew it, it was a real dog. No flaps or droops, ST 45 turning about 12.5k. I saw somewhere a mention of the downthrust (about 9 degrees) and simply took about 1/2 out by adusting the engine upward in the engine mount - quick and simple. BIG difference, like getting a new plane - shorter take off, faster airspeed, lands better, climbs and loops easily. I was getting resady to dump this one (I have 90 others to fly) but now will keep it and have some fun -

bigmann sorry I was wondering if the f22 is consitered low perfromance

will have to try to shim the motor to fix this thing, added night lights tested & trim flight every thing went ok no trim ajustments cool then it happen glow plug failed went down into the corn came back out and back into the corn ,grr 3 of us went looking for it 2 hours to find we was 5 rows apart and walked by it twice it soft landed on top of the corn
no damage
went up to night fly that when it happen again almost lost it not because of being dark acted like lack of air speed I hope when i shim the motor it will fix this sounds like it will

RU4JESUS I think the post I was talking about stated if I remember right the plane has to fly under 100mph to fall under low performance!Maybe just look at it and see what you get out of that post

bigmann I found the post again and was able to put lights on her was able to get things figured out ,I can fly by myself or with 1 or 2 others at a time max it would be to fast with the set up that i have for now with the group of 12 of us at once

I think when i put her in the corn i did something to her What i know so far glow plug, and the cow is loose changed the glow plug and flew 2nd mistake i did took off without flaps
duh i always take off with flaps it was very unstable was only able to make one pass Darn and forced landing I never fixed the nose corectly .THE right thing for me to do is to ground this plane AND FIX it

1 shim the motor I have a robart precision incidence meter I think this will help me with that
2 fix the nose need to take pics of what i did 3 flight quick field fix 100 flights ago
3 after those fixes rebalance my cg is 6 3/4 to 7 inches back
4 go over everything

as for a vid im still learning how to use the camera HDD 60G lot of $$$ takes good night pics trying to teach my kids my wife gets upset trying to take pics our next night fly is in about a month august sometime shrimp feed there will be people there im sure

falcon

ps the mustang pts makes a perfect nightflyer Will try to get the f22 at the same statis
club members pics
