BHogue: Since you live in Alabama, try some Morgan fuels green heavy 4 stroke oil. It is made for kart racing. It is cheaper than caster oil or anything else I have seen, and I use only 10% rather than 20%. I also use no nitro, and am experimenting with E85 and diesel fuel (new head on engine for diesel). I have never had an engine problem with only 10%, and having less oil improves the power since I use no nitro. In the hot summers here I have tried adding 10% water for cooling, but eventually came to a point where I just don't bother anymore, and still have no problems. Just run a bit rich and you are fine. Morgan fuels is there in Alabama, so should be easy to get. I order a 4 gallon case at a time and they pay the shipping to Colorado. Another plus for this oil is it doesn't congeal in cold weather. I don't use caster oil anymore since I keep my planes in an un heated shed and the caster oil is like glue on the engines when it gets cold and makes it impossible to start in the winter. No such problem using Morgan fuels oil. Good luck.
