Just a little kit bashing this winter ..just finished this nice kit with a "T" tail ..balanced weight 6.3 Lbs...mounted GMS .47 on it side with a Du-bro Vibe Motor mount ... Ailerons 1/2" wider at the tip and some other small mods.

That's pretty cool! How strong will the stab be in that position? Also, when you fly it, it'll be interesting to note how much longer your takeoff runs will be compared to a conventional tail setup (ask Piper Lancer and Tomahawk owners about that!). Still, enhances the looks a bit. Good job!

The stab is mounted with 3/4" tri stock on the bottom attached to the fin ( Glued and Pinned ) the attached surface area is larger then what it would have been stock... I have a Strikemaster Modded with a T tail and there is little or no difference to the take off run ...still... it will be fun to try this one out.

I have not flown the stock configuration stab so I can not compare ... as long as it gets into the air I will be happy
