Hi, my name is Dave, and I am a Speed Plane Addict.
I have been a Lover of Speed Planes for 18+ years,
and with the help of the Revvers Brother-hood I hope to
make my planes even FASTER !!!
my wife/girlfriend left me when i crashed my last glow speed plane and decided to build an electric powered speed plane. she said electrics are for girlymen....i stood my ground.
this is a pic of my last project. I know. The motor is on the wrong end!. even my EX wife/girlfriend gave me a hard time about the pusher setup on top of "it" being electric is for girlymen....i stood my ground. Since she's been gone, Ive been flying everyday! So, i dont have a glow speed plane right now but i would like to join this band of speed freaks because im continually enjoying the peice and quite around here.

Dave

Scratch built, took way to much time!
hollow molded carbon fiber with wood inside.
32" span 30oz auw with 10 cells.
various props in the 5x5 area
3k kv/rpm brushless in the pic ran up to 12 cells
Ide like recomendations for a glow conversion if any anyone cares.

Join the Revvers Brotherhood and let the healing begin!
A place where all non "girlymen" can confide in other speed freaks in a sanctuary of understanding and support without the B.S. as in other forums!
Just fast airplanes and good times!
What else is there?
Fly Boy Dave should be by for your induction into the Brotherhood soon.

P.S. Sell some of your ex girlfriends belongings and buy a glo powered speed machine!
It will bring much satisfaction!

Rev Bro #118

WELCOME BRO 128!

I am sure you have found RC guys in general a outstanding group of people. The Rev Brotherhood are, without doubt, the best of the best, period. There is possibly one exception, Jimmy in Texas, but even he is a great person, if you hit him over the head enough.

Well here is my ship...

"Hi, my name is Tim, and I am a Speed Plane Addict.
I have been a Lover of Speed Planes for 20 years,
and with the help of the Revvers Brother-hood I hope to
make my planes even FASTER !!!
Don't let my wife see this....I promised her I
would "tame it down a bit". : ( heh heh heh )

This picture is of my wife holding my little 1/2a pylon plane. It sports a 28"wing and was alittle heavy at 10oz's. Running a HyperColor tweaked Cox .049 it will spin an APC 4.1x4 prop a hair over 20,000rpm. Great flying little speedster. I hope you all like!

Later,
Tim

LOL Tim! She looks better without the beard and stache. (inside joke from the 1/2a arena) I will personally vouch for Tim and his ship. It hauls for real, we have gotten togeather twice this year to go fast and he did it both times while I broke stuff. Not the next time tho . I think I got a little sumptin for the sharkface boys in May. He also has witnessed 41.5 set the speed record of the day with his own alternative powered ships

Welcome to the hood freind.

Vic,

Thanks for sticking up for me and thanks for not telling them that the red/yellow plane went home as a pile of toothpicks After looking over everything at home it looks like one of the tabs on the battery was not soldered on 100% . Oh well I have two other meaner faster planes on the board already.

As for the other guys thanks for having me !!!

LAter,
Tim

"Hi, my name is Michael, and I am a Speed Plane Addict.
I have been a Lover of Speed Planes for 1 year now where i started also this nice rc hobby.
I started racing in 1961 on this plannet , with an age of 6 i raced my dad's rally car with a fuel jug under my bud , with an age of 12 i learned to make 2 strokes faster and i had the fastest 50cc bike in the neighborhod ,in the 80' and 90 i raced the streets with a vmax motorcycle and the water with 600hp offshorepower, the last 10 years i raced the 1/4 mile with NOS powered 622ci engines. Now with 44 i am a freetime rc plane racer with the love for speed and the love to make slow things fast
No... i am not Eddie Hill he is older and has more money

With the help of the Revvers Brother-hood I hope to
make my planes even FASTER !!!

Here is my collection of fast ones ,the Great Planes Hacker Slinger with Hacker b40 119 mph on gps, the carbon fiber reinforced easystar "Turn Right" what was my first rc plane 110mph on radar (my goal is 150 mph next spring with Kontronik power)i think that's not bad for a beginners plane , my simprop Turn Left Hacker b40/5 FAI carbon powered, not radared till today ,Simprop Lift Off Hotliner and my World Models/Yamara ¼ scale 60" Midget Mustang ,the setup is in progress with a 3.8 HP Webra Speed 120 X .
For next year i think about the 60" Rare Bear from Thunder Tiger with all the necessary reinforcement and a Saito 180 GK 4 stroke.
Go Fast !! Turn Left !!
