Don't know about Steve, but I used to live in the very low 11s and high 10s on my old 73 CB750. Then I moved down south where they only race in circles and ran the Legends and Dwarf Car series for a few. Gave all that up for this. Building and flying with my little boy KILLS anything I did on a track.

Iv'e got a p-51 that I am am flying right now, building a dominator 500 with an MVVS q-500 .40, and a shrike w/ a JETT BSE .21. TOO MUCH POWER IS JUUUUUSSSSSSST ENOUGH! I am also in the process of designing the cleanest fastest airframe I can possibly make, My physics professor is helping me with some airfoil design and I hope to have something unreal when I get done, its taking some time but I would like to see something in the 300 range

Hi fellas!

This is my Rapier and ready to rap!
Normally flown on a .40 with a 9 x 8.
On a .53 2-stroke she will easily achieve 100+ mph!

Is that a Magnum 52 XLS?

If so, run a 9-6, it will do 18k on the ground. Get rid of that plastic spinner or it will come off in the air. Go to turn turn or comp. Make sure your muffler is epoxied toghter, it will also come apart.

You can do all you want to your design, but you will never hit 300 unless it is powered by a turbine. I tried

My Rapier has a low-cost standard Thunder Tiger GP.42 2-stroke fitted originally with a 10 x 6 Master prop. This produced around 11000 rpm with a prop braking speed of about 50 mph! So even in a dive the Rapier would only achieve 50 mph before prop braking occurred. By changing to a Master 9 x 8 the TT .42 produced just over 10000 rpm but now with a prop braking speed of around 70 mph the model is much faster and will easily achieve 70 mph in a shallow dive.
Too date the model has made around 30 flights with its existing setup without problems. It requires 6mm of up trim on the elevons to act as a reflex wing section due to the drag from its delta wing configuration. Engine is cut for final approach and stalls are non-existant!

I would imagine you would see that much perfromance out of a Jett 21 on a shrike 10.

You want perfriomance put a Sx32 OSMax or Rossi 2.2Hp. 21 eng on a Shrike 10 and see 150plus. You will have to modify the spars

Flyboy Dave,

Allow me to thank you for the fine thread management. And the smile (smirk) it puts on my face every time another member of the brotherhood comes clean with his deamons.

Keep up the great job!!
