Rudeboy, Yeah, a fuel stopper will be needed, along with a throttle linkage, and a zip tie or two to hold the rear of the tuned pipe to its bracket. It will also be necessary to put a couple more bolts in to hold that Jett 50 FIRE in place - Ha! I also have to install the JR 8411's, and gapseal the underside of the elevons - so I have a little bit more work to do. (Also have to finish my catapult!) I got that tank from a friend who didn't want to use it in an ARF. Its a Chinese tank, its 200ml or about 6.75 oz and has the letters "JDL" and "200ml" moulded into it. That's all I know about it, other than it is a perfect fit for the Whiplash, and gets me another .75oz of capacity. I'm going to make a bladder tank with it, using a baby bottle liner. Anybody know more about this tank? I'd like to know where to get some more. ~John

This is a Wiseguy, a Simitar that Bill Evens designed, the fastest I have a picture of. It is using a Rossi .40, I have 10 projects ahead of my next screamer, but I'll be back.
Need for speed started way back with a Rossi .40 in a sky tiger Jr. ... what a rush!!

Couldn't help putting one more picture in. This is the way it should fly!! This is a clipped wing version and really is not in the speed range as the delta wings, so that will be the next entry MR Flyer57
I think it was Goose in TOP GUN that said it best. When asked "hows it hanging?" The reply was: " one in front of the other for speed"
Welcome, MR Flyer57 to the Speed-freaks Brotherhood. Revver #27 is yours....Rev on, my Brothers....

In love with my kit-Patriot that I really enjoyed to construct and for sure to fly !!! It has about 5 flights with a stock Rossi 53 (going to increase exh.timing about 10 degrees and switch to a full pipe and laborate with props) A JETT '50 would have been more suitable, as the Rossi gave me a weight-penalty of about 5 ounces (3 ounces from tail-lead), but the Jett costs twice the Rossi here. Enlarged the firewall by 1/4" allowing a 12 oz sullivan tank as well as Eurokit pneumatic retracts.
Speed Freaks membership, and Revvers #28 is yours in the Brotherhood....Rev on....

I bought a Patriot off Razor, and its one of the best planes in my collection. I love the color scheme and designs you did on yours. I just got a 46fx and looking for a tuned pipe to put on mine. So if anyonme has a cheap pipe let me know so I too can go fast LOL thanks Tim

Brothers !
So far the retracts workes fine , from grass also! They are protected by the Eurokit legs that have spring-suspension. The nosewheel however will soon be fully steerable by pull-pull, it doesn't taxi well by rudder alone. Wheels are 2.25", largest possible, making landings on grass "hangar ship tailhook like" Take offs asks for a little more power......
Yes I made a new firewall measuring 1/4" weider and 1/4" higher than the one in kit.
Wonder how the Patriot-Jett .90 seen in Jetts hall of fame got the CG right ? lots of lead in tail ?

I can't deny it. I'm an addict. I've flown small fast electrics for the last few years. But fell off the wagon for a summer romance with Fun Flys. That got boring quick. So This summer I went back. Currently in my fleet I have a Laser Arrow, Brushless ProJeti and I have a Diamond Dust on the way. The ProJeti is , per sq inch. the fastest while I wait on the DD. I have not measured mine, but the same set up has been clocked at just over 100 MPH in a dive.
Of course, like all RC Addcts I always plan my Q 2 planes in advance. So after the DD, I'm looking for a good prop-jet kit. I like to build. And I find building slows down the buy rate.
What number am I? #30....welcome to the Speed Freaks Brotherhood....known as the "Revvers"

It all started with a sweet stick with a Super Tigre 61. It has been all speed since.
Now I am working on a 1/2 shrike w/a conquest 15, and a Sig Wonder.
The Wonder is almost completed and is my 2nd Wonder. The first was powered by a HeliO.S. 28 with pipe and was fast, but like a true speed nut I wanna go faster. I have a 2.2 HP Pico .45 w/pipe without a home, so it will be wedged into the Wonder. Call me nuts, crazy, insane, or even just stupid, but I refuse to slow down.
Paul....#32 is yours, welcome to the Brotherhood...
