Hi guys ,I have a little problem with my wings
On my draw the wing have some difference from the real airplane ,the Ailerons on my drawings are bigger, the flaps - smaller, between them have section that is not movable.
So I don't know what to do ............what you think about this difference ????

Waht I should do? Make scale ailerons or according to the drawing?

Well looks like that on the plans they just cut a section of the flaps out and left it as part of the wing. Probably because on the F and up models it was a two part flap with the radiator.

The real thing looks like this:

I would extend the flaps out the way it should and do it the right way, else its going to look wrong.

I would stick with scale ailerons and flaps. I think they will be enough for good flying performance. What you think Evil_Merlin? Did Fokke need to enlarge them or original will be sufficient?

Damn I hate Fortunecity. Had a wonderful picture from the top down of the flap.

Gotta make em scale! Its not that difficult to do from the looks of the plans. Especially with the foam wing.

Evil, I'll make them scale, but not sure about the correct size. Can you tell me what is the % of aileron compared to the flaps or dimensions of flaps and ailerons and wingspan so I can scale it to my plane.

Sure, according to one drawing, the aileron is 60.5% the size of the flap, but on another I get just shy of 67%.

I'm pulling out my Claude Baskin plans for my 1/5th scale Bf 109 and may be able to get you more accurate.

OK just measured the Claude Baskin Plans (IMPScale makes a Bf109E kit, all wood, I haven't started building that one yet), the flap is 20.875" and the flap is 14.125" or 67.6%. Claude's plans are a 20.7% scale.

Lets be safe and say 66% is a good number for the flap to aileron.

I'm looking for some better, and scale drawings now.

Hi fokke!
I had the same problem, but I didn't think about it and I made scale flaps and ailerons.
I think, that it is better and the unmoved part between flap and ailerons is very stupid on the scale model!
