Fokke, are you sure of the rivits on gun cutouts on the E3/E4s? Also if its an early E3/E4 it would have the older style canopy right? I've not seen any images of one that has the rivits to the best of my knowledge. I will have to go back and check my books.

Its great to learn something about the plane you didn't know before, and I've never seen any of the rivets before so its great.

Great! fantastic images Fokke!

fokke -> RE: Project BF-109 E 4 1/5 (11/7/2007 10:18:01 PM)

The rivets on the original aircraft arn't as visible, but they must be there since they are on inside. Just because most kits don't have them did not mean they are not there on the original. After all my rivets are going to be smoothed so will be visible, but not soo much as now.

Evil_Merlin -> RE: Project BF-109 E 4 1/5 (11/7/2007 11:20:23 PM)

Totally understand and agree with your decision to put them on your plane!

fokke -> RE: Project BF-109 E 4 1/5 (12/15/2007 7:31:50 PM)

Hi guys
I have litlle progress with wings
.From this parts I'll make mould for wings :)

Evil_Merlin -> RE: Project BF-109 E 4 1/5 (12/15/2007 10:36:12 PM)

I was wondering where you disappeared to Fokke!

Great work. The wings look very good. Are you going to mold the wingtips as separate pieces?

How are you going to do the radiator and flaps?

fokke -> RE: Project BF-109 E 4 1/5 (12/16/2007 4:06:51 AM)

OK :)
Hi Evill ,yes I will make wings like separate pieces because will be more easily for me :) You will see :)It is not soo big progress but now I can lengthen the project [:D]

The radiator I'll make with silicone mould ,the flaps will be like on the real airplane [:D] you will see

Evil_Merlin -> RE: Project BF-109 E 4 1/5 (12/16/2007 4:09:19 AM)

Thanks Fokke. Can't wait to see it!

fokke,

Where can I find a set of those plans? I have tried the link from your original post, aeronautica.de, however this site seems to no longer exist. Please let me know if you have any updated details. Great job, by the way.

Regards,

James.

Evil_Merlin -> RE: Project BF-109 E 4 1/5 (1/3/2008 1:58:48 PM)

Looks like an accurate airfoil too.

I'm impressed Fokke!

fokke -> RE: Project BF-109 E 4 1/5 (1/3/2008 2:15:35 PM)

[:D][:D][:D] Tomas I plan to be ready this season,after 2 mounts ,I hope soo :)

Thanks Evil
I try to :)

fokke -> RE: Project BF-109 E 4 1/5 (1/3/2008 8:57:11 PM)

It is very difficult to fit dihedral, to exact angle

chutt -> RE: Project BF-109 E 4 1/5 (1/3/2008 10:22:08 PM)

Rumen, your 109 is perfect! Congratulations!! [8D]

I have a question... How you join the fuse sides and bottom? When they are still in the molds?

Cheers,

Andre.

fokke -> RE: Project BF-109 E 4 1/5 (1/3/2008 10:35:07 PM)

Thank you Andre
Yes when I make аll fuse in the mould .When the epoxy is still wet, I close the molds, so after complete drying, i have ready to use fuse,the collour too [:D]

chutt -> RE: Project BF-109 E 4 1/5 (1/4/2008 8:54:12 PM)

Rumen,

it´s necessary to reinforce the joining areas with more fiber?

thank you again,

Andre.

fokke -> RE: Project BF-109 E 4 1/5 (1/5/2008 1:05:52 PM)

Yes Andre it´s necessary to reinforce
This is my method to close my molds
