The installation article on your website for the Optical Kill Switch ends with this paragraph.

"The last thing to do on this installation is install the optional red LED onto the fuselage. For this I drilled a 1/4" hole per the instructions. I removed the deans connector from the LED assembly and slipped the wires through the hole. The housing just pushes in snug into the hole. You can see the completed installation below."

With the plug being larger than a 1/4 inch, It's my understanding that you're suggesting that we remove the pins from the connector and then re-install the pins back into the plug? If that's correct, what method do you recommend to remove the pins

Thanks,

Steve

Hi Steve,
Yes, the guy that did the review typo'd that and said Deans when it should have just said to take the wires out of the JR Plug and feed them through the hole. The pins are held in with some small tabs. You lift where you see the junction between the plug plastic and the pin on the back of the plug. Lift the tab just a bit, too far and you might break it off. You can slide the pin out with the tab just lifted a bit. When you put the wires through the hold then just seat the plugs back in the housing. Make sure the side of the pin that has a little tab on it goes in on the side of the plug with its tab. I hope this is clear, its really easier than it sounds.

Thanks, that's what I thought. I just wanted to be sure before I did it.

Does it matter if I plug reciever #1 lead or #2 lead into a single reciever set up?

I have to check the wiring, but the other day when I turned it on, none of the LED's came on.

Hi Steve,
You can plug either lead in, it does not matter. The unit looks for activity and uses that lead. Let me know if you have trouble.

I bought two at the same time, I'll do a little trouble shooting.

I swapped the optical transmitter for the other one that I bought at the same time. The green LED and the red LED both came on. I tested the other optical reciever and it appears to be operating properly. So it looks like just the one transmitter is non operative.

Hi Steve,
OK, I am really sorry about that. Contact me at info@Smart-Fly.com with your address and I will get you out a new one today. If you could send that one back I would like to look at it.
