Hi Mike,
Got my new video card and the program is starting. Yea! But it still seems that my usb cord must be bad. It makes the tone when you plug it into the USB port, and windows finds it.

However afpd says it can't find it.
I tried it on my xp machine I was using it on before, and it says the same thing. It can't find the interface cable. Is there something I can check under the shrink tubing? The rest of the connectors look good and the wires are all connected.
Thanks,
Dave

Hi Mike,
Thanks for the response. I sent my USB cord in today to Ikarus. I called first and the gentleman said that they would replace it, but if it was too old, they would have to charge me. Well, I guess I know what that means, since my cord is as old as when AFPD first came out.
Well, it is par for the course! Why?
See my latest video on what I had to do to get Vista Installed with a new video card so I can continue flying my favorite simulator, AFPD.
Enjoy. Dave

Hi Mike,
Thank you very much for your help. I got the cord back today (no charge) and it works perfectly. Now, I am trying to get some of the downloaded planes and sceneries re-loaded.
Again, thank you.

PS: Here is my latest RC Video, showing the very first Digital Proportional radio in production. Enjoy it.

I have run several of the downloaded planes..B-17, Pogo, Wright flyer, etc and some of the sceneries that weren't zip.

It said it downloaded them and they should show up in the program. They do not! What am I doing wrong? Also the ones that are zipped, I unzipped. Do I just drag all those files into my ipacs folder under planes? None are .exe I tried that too, but none show up.

Thanks. Sorry to keep bothering you.
Dave

Mike...
It looks like those planes and sceneries went into my backup hard drive (that used to be my C drive). I had the aerofly program on there.

I took the folders aircraft and sceneries, copied and pasted them into c and all is working. Yea! Any other updates or patches I need?
Thanks.

Phantom, your current patch (1.8.0.25) is fine, as you don't have any addons. So, I guess you're all set!

Hi Rajul, I just got my aerofly Deluxe (Invoice 624977) and I seem to have the same problem with the interface, at startup I get the same "Aerofly is unable to locate the USB interface cable. Please plug the interface cable into a free USB port" message.

Please help!!

As a double check, please look in the windows game controller settings (under control panel), if the usb interface shows up there. Can you also try connecting the usb interface to a different usb port or a different computer.

Which addon do you have, BTW?

I also tried other USB ports, and I get the same result. Also, I installed the software in my laptop and the same message appears.

You can't use the Easyfly2 interface with AFPD. Do you also have Easyfly2? Where did you purchase your AFPD from?
