I have a 1/8 scale buggy HIMOTO, if my buggy isn't running the steering servo works (left & right). Once it starts running after about a minute or so it decides not to turn left. I thought maybe the steering servo was going bad, so I replaced it with another one I new worked that was just laying around. Well it did the same thing, can someone give some kind of direction on how to figure out this issue? Thanks

Sounds like something in the steering linkage is sticking to the left. Without the servo connected move the linkage left several times and see if you can feel anything catching on the body, frame or anything else that may be coming in contact with the linkage or tires.

Later...

Scott!

I am having a similar problem, except my Himoto is buried on one direction all the time, when I adjust the trim it just takes all the turn out of it. I will only turn left, and when I adjust the R-N switch on the radio, it just switches from being buried from the left to the right. I replaced the servo with a brand new one, did the same thing, and being that the throttle servo works correctly and the steering is getting a signal, I am assuming that the reciever is ok, so my last option is to change out my radio, I am guessing????? I believe that I read on one of these forums a long time ago that the radios that came with the Himoto cars were junk, that could be, they have an upgrade radio on their site for about 45$ with shipping, I was thinking of getting that, does anyone know if I'm on the right track here, I'm relativaly new to this and have never had this problem before, PLEASE HELP!!!

Josh
