Then you'd have some cool tires... Dirt Hawgs are awesome, but I went with 1/10 tc wheels & tires.

1/10s are awesome on the 18t. I run them with my mamba and I can get the truck back on all fours everytime it lands on its roof because the tires can touch the ground when its flipped over. I crank the throttle with the tires one way, its starts doing cirlces and then I crank the steering the opposite and bam, its back on the road 9/10. The diference between them and the stock tires is night and day when it comes to handling, control.

Where did you get those ones? I'd like to try them out.

That's soooo true about the tires helping right the truck after a flip. I love not having to run to the rescue after every rollover! lol

Here they are, wheels and tires - http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXCEA1&P=7 - http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXZK77&P=M

Notice the wheels and tires are for the HPI Super Nitro. Don't pay any attention to that. They fit the RC18(MT) like a glove, no rubbing whatsoever (12mm adapters necessary)
The difference between these and the common 26mm 1/10 tc wheels/tires is the width. These are much wider than 26mm, pretty much the same width as the stock MT tires, just 1mm narrower.

PS- I didn't use the included foams. The tires are pretty low profile and if the foam was used it would make the sidewall too stiff, making the shocks do all the work. All that rubber on the stock MT tires absorbed a ton of impact, so I didn't want to lose too much of that. I haven't ran too much outside since I installed them, but I have a feeling I may need to experiment with shock oil to find the perfect damping. Keep in mind I modded AFTER Christmas and I live in Massachusetts, so the cold has an adverse affect on the shock oil and rubber.
I can't WAIT until Spring!!! Then I can beat my nitro again too. She's been in the cellar since Christmas.
