There's something horribly wrong with this Pershing...

Can't quite put my finger on it.

Its the sherman turret on top. BUT this could also be a drivers training vehicle. The Germans do similar things even today.

and the treads look way diffrent compared to the pershing i have sitting beside me. its like the front top set are not far enough forwards, and the tread holder wheels are in odd places.

the tracks are fine. The tension is all the way out on it. If you look in the first pic the front idler is almost sitting on the front road wheel.

this is what happens when ya got heavy equiptment and too much spare time. ya lift the sherman turret on top, drop in a nasty looking ford 2 bl v8 and a truck/forklift rear axle assembly.they said that 800 cid ford v8 was under powered.all in all its some thing like i would do but maybe a tad bigger motor and auto trans

Is someone is going to restore that puppy, it'll be quite an undertaking! The Sherman turret is one of the original ones that wasn't modified with the loader's hatch. What motor was that a 460 Ford? hehehe

Ya I see the front wheels nearly touching the first set of road wheels. also that looks like a 360 or a 390. dosnt have massive valve covers that most big motors had. if it was cheep enough i would buy that :P
