I changed out the radio, reciever, and servos on my Volcano SV. I replaced them with the Spectrum 2.0 radio, reciever and servos. The throttle and steering response is much better. The truck also has a lot better turning radius and can go out as far as I want. The radio that comes with the truck is garbage. I guess it gets the job done if you just want to stay within 20 feet and not have very good control over the truck. I'm not bashing the truck, the truck is awesome, just a crappy radio.

My suspension travel is crushing my dogbones. I've orderd the cvds, but they are too long and also get crushed. I've limited my suspension travel by putting spacers into my suspension, but would like full travel and am wondering if you can recomend shorted cvds? 08046 is the cvd I ordered, but they won't come even close to fitting in the rear.

Thanks

Thats odd. Ive got a Volcano SV. I put on T-Maxx shocks (slightly more travel than Stock) and my dogbones have enough endplay throughout range of suspension.

its a slide carb, you need a rotary carb to make it easier to install, if its a .18 or smaller it should fit, you also have to make sure it has a standard crank on it too.

I'm bending dogbones constantly, and I'm breaking axle ends left and right! The dogbones I buy are ae and are about 1.5mm shorter then I put a spring inside to keep them in the outer cups. I need cvds, but redcats are too long and won't allow full suspension travel in the front and nearly any in the rear! Does redcat or hpi or anyone make a cvd that is about 2mm shorter then the redcat p/n 08046?

An exceed dynamite. If you crush the front suspension, the dogbones bottom out and bend. I've tried their universals, but they are too long as well. Any ideas.

did you put a small piece of fuel tubing in each drive cup to take up the slack? you need to leave a little slack but you need to keep it even with 2 pieces of tubing

My volcano SV transmission gears teeth are all ate up, from when I took the engine off and put it back on. How do I know where to realign the engine where it won't happen again.

Most of the remote cars you get will have 27mhz crystals, which can only be used with a 27mhz transmitter and receiver, thats why I upgraded my transmitter and receiver to a 75mhz, it allows you to drive it at a farther distance and used my same servo's till I got new one's, which by the ebay link I posted gave it all transmitter receiver and servo's. I'm not sure of the mhz though 75 or more is what you want.
