i had that same problem the oter day. I had to make sure the drive cup was line up correctly on the shaft coming from the tranny. i tightened it incorrectly on the round part of the shaft and it would slip. once we put it on the flat part no more problems.

Today was the only time it starded doing it, but i noticed if i rolled it forward a bit before i started it would be fine, but i also noticed my pull cord sometimes dosn't retrieve all of the cord back in, but usually on the final pull when the engine starts it goes back in.
Thanks for the help in advance ehroof, your the KING!

39 and i doubt you will find anything that will fit, i tried from hpi, traxxas, tamiya, kyosho. Its the same pitch as the hpi but no gears will mount like it.

I took the top deck off of my volcano to to tighten and locktight the grub screws in the drivetrain. When I had it all put back together I noticed that when I moved the steering arm by hand it seemed tight. I loosened the screws that hold the steering linkage in place and it still seemed stiff? I also tried loosing the collar for the damping spring but the threads that it goes up and down on just seemed to spin? Does anyone have a pic or diagram of how it is supposed to look? Is it supposed to be a little stiff or move freely? Thank-You for any advice!
