its really easy once you get the acid bath mixture right and keep the amperage at a high enough level at a constant rate. also tweeked the sealing process a little and found a way to keep the color from leaching out near as much(went from losing like 80% of the dye to only loosing maybe 20-30%) and did it without the use of professional color guarding sealants!! i love this s**t!!!! doin my clutch bell this weekend. what do you guys think...should i do it the same purple or maybe blue or green to go with the shocks/rims?

Hi I have had my tornado xp for a month now and there is a problem, my engine shut off every time I go full throttle or speed up to fast maybe because at full throttle the carburator is open all the way, is it supposed to be like that? Can some one please send me a picture how far the carb should be open at full throttle. By the way my starter recoil cord broke ripped I have tryed a wide variety of different types of materials for the cord but they all rip after a days worth of pulling doese anyone now what kind of cord would work? Any help would be apreciated Thanks!

sounds like you miht be runnin a bit rich on the high end needle. if you floor it does it bog then die? if so its runnin rich on the high end(screw the high end needle in 1/8 turn ). if it takes off fast but dies quick the its probably runnin a bit lean(back the high end needle out 1/8 turn). took me a while to work this out but it can be done with a little patience. but i'd still listen to ehroof and allaboutfun hobbies they know their stuff way better than me. what do you think guys?

sounds like the high needle it too lean, turn it 1/8 counterclockwise and see if that helps.

Hey ehroof i am purchasing the clutch bell that will give my XP lower gearing. It is goinng to decrease the RPM'S i would imagine. Will I have to do anything to make it shift due to the loss of RPM'S ?

wash and dry it good. you need special paint and you paint it from the inside. Pactra is one company that has the rc body paint. i would say just take your time, i mask the window with either the decals that come with it or masking tape, i like to be able to see in the windows, lol. its pretty hard to mess it up since runs and drips wont matter cause your painting the inside. when your done you peel off the protective coating thats on the outside of the body and put your stickers on. if you plan on doing flames or some other type of look, you need to paint what you see first and the total color of the body last, i hope that made sense to you, lol.

good luck and post some pictures
