Hi, I have some questions. this past weekend me and my brother-in-law bought two tornado bbs (our first hobby grade cars) and they started out doing great. then the first thing that happend was when we were racing I ran into the back of him and broke the front dogbone then later I bent the other one so i only had rear wheel drive then yesterday i was driving and i twisted both rear ones about 20 degrees around. so i was wondering if that was normal i don't drive really rough. also the center dogbones kind of dug into the universal joint. Also both the pull starts seem to slip. is all this normal or is it something were doing wrong.

you need to take up the slack with the dogbones with the some fuel tubing, you need to put small pieces in the drive cups to take up the slack in them, not too tight or they will bind and cause problems. the rear ones gave you problems because it was just rear wheel drive and the car is designed to be 4 wheel so the rear was doing all the work. take the pull starts off, be careful that you dont unwind the spring, clean the one way bearing with some carb cleaner and put it back on and you should be ok, just basic maintanince.

Who is stocking all of the parts? I am trying to find a new chassis, aluminum upper plate, front dogbones, and body for a tornado XP and I can't find anyone that has them in stock.

I think I have a bad owners manual because it doesn't have break-in precedure and it says the dogbones (part# 06061) that drive the wheels are 84 mm and after looking on-line I think they are 80 mm and the same part as the rear center dogbone. Is that correct?

hello redcat fans...
just wanted to say how i find this site very good.....i just bought the tornado bb from e-bay. looks like a great buggy. now today was the first day i try to start it. when it turned on, it was at a very high speed. i did some research on seting the idle, needle. when i returned to the buggy, i noticed some shredded plastic under the buggy. when i flipped it over i saw that the high gear was stripped. i was very disapointed at this moment. i rushed to my local hobby shops , and i was told that i only can find parts online for this brand. now the depression is worst on me . i was hoping to have some fun this weekend with my son which he has a truck also. anyway i ordered the gear, im hoping to get it soon. I see there is a menber here that lives very close to me. I LIVE IN BROOKLYN, N.Y. if you can please contact me asap so i can ask a few questions.
thanks alot
Jeff
