Ehroof-- Do you know if they make a clear body for the avalanche?? I can't find one anywhere.

no bro, sorry, i dont think they have one, any 1/8 truck body, like for the hpi savage would fit it.

Great Clutch set, I'm basing away with it right now! Car is on the stand cooling off between runs.

Thanks,

Thanks, I just got back from bashing on my driveway. I was actually looking for a set from hpi or other big brands (avaliable at my lhs)

I need some advice, my plastic bumper is fairly beat up. The aluminum is bent up and it looks pretty ugly. Other than that, the ball joint cup on my shocks are pretty beat up. They pop off from time to time and look like it's going to break. and the bottom part is bendy. Other than getting new shocks, how can I maintain them? If new shocks, what are good ones to buy and what are the dimensions? Thanks for all the help guys.

I know im using the wrong glow plug but i just relized that. is it bad. i know all it does is give it more compression and i have been running it like this ever since i broke it in. Anwser please'

big block is .21 and larger, small block is .18 and smaller, that plug is fine but i would suggest getting an os a3 when that one goes bad

its hard to say, it really depends on how its tuned, lean, rich, running hot, etc. i would say about a gallon per plug.

i guess they dont know what a big block is, the 2.5 (or .15) is far from a big block, I wonder why they call it a big block.

It's called advertising. Most of what the companies advertise is crap. Do you really believe the speeds of 60mph for redcat and smartech? I came across a smartech on ebay that said .18 big block. Yeah right! You just have to use some common sense. They all lie in one way, shape or form. The trick is to make it look better than the other guys so they can get your money. I'm curious if these companies have ever had false advertising charges or not. It would definitely stop it and we could see what what the cars are really capable of. It's not just cars though, even looking for engines is hard because they lie about the specs.

Unfortyunatlly I did when I first started. The first car I bought was a smartech winner pro which said 60mph top speed. after getting a radar gun I saw that one fly out the window. The top speed I got stock was 30mph. After changing the engine to the 3.3 and swapping out gears for more speed I'm at 55mph which still sucks. Don't get me wrong it's a lot better then 30 I'm just disapointed I'll never see it do the speed that was advertised. The only way I can see these cars actually making it to the top speeds they say is to take them to the top of a building and throw them off with a friend standing at the bottom with the radar gun. lol

I believe the estimates of the Traxxas VXL all the way!

Edit: It's because of a video I saw.

Hello Cen,

The Tornado BB slams!!!

I don't know why more people aren't into buggies. They look so much better and I bet they handle better too. I understand that if you want to run your car around in thick grass, then you need to have something that looks like a slot car with 4 basketballs for wheels, but the Tornado's rock unless you are trying to stage a monster truck rally for an audience of chicklet-sized hicklets.

Thanks,

Jim

Hey Cen,

Grass running is tough on buggies. You have about one inch of ground clearence. If the grass is short it will work great, but it's definitely worth looking for some dirt terrain to run on. Baseball diamonds are a lot of fun to start with because you can get your car sliding through the turns and stuff.

I see you are from Bridgewater, NJ. I'm originally from Plainfield. There are probably millions of places for you to run your car if you look around Manville, Someville or maybe even Bound Rrook. Scout out the places where kids are riding their dirt bikes or BMX bikes and you'll be in RC buggy heaven!

Thanks,

Jim

They're about 10 minutes MAX away! I actually built a track to drive my stampede on and a buggy should work good.
Thanks for the help.
